Title: MtGox to BTC-E (How do you think this software works?)
Post by: jordan.dev on April 04, 2013, 10:00:56 PM
So a quick Google search for 'MtGox to BTC-E' returns this video: http://youtu.be/Bq2devvvyrg (http://youtu.be/Bq2devvvyrg) - as the first result.

What APIs is this guy manipulating (he sells the software you see in the video) in order to move USD so fast between MtGox and BTC-E ... I realize he is issuing the user a MtGox coupon code on one end, but where is he going to buy the BTC-E coupon code on the other?

Ok never-mind I'm an idiot. He was using a 'BitInstant' transfer which is no longer available. I can't delete this post  :'(

Even worse, MtGox is discontinuing USD coupon code withdrawals soon. My inter-exchange arbitrage dreams have been dashed to pieces.... not to mention the skyrocketing price of Bitcoin has made the inter-exchange transfer cost prohibitive.

That's odd. I wonder if it's an AML thing? Nice big fat paper trail if you withdraw USD via other means huh?
