altcoin bear market Seems to have already begun,price has been falling and falling

the altcoin prices are falling because btc price is growing, so the price and the marketcap of an altcoin in USD is the same

actually, alts are recovering their prices right now.
altcoin's value is going up and down due to price of bitcoin.
so you always have to watch the movement of bitcoin price.

the fall has slowed down and it has even stopped in some cases. i hope you realize that altcoin market is not a single market but lots of smaller markets which work independently (to some extent)


it is different for each altcoin and you have to either ask specifically and look for yourself.
but when bitcoin price stops going up and becomes boring again altcoin market will start.
but if price of bitcoin falls or rises (both work) altcoin market will be abandoned because there is profit to be made in bitcoin.


again which altcoin do you have in mind?
most of them are at their bottoms like LTC, XMR (which had a rise too), ETH, ETC(also had a rise), Lisk,...

As mentioned earlier BTC/ALTs seem to conversely mirror fiat price trends generally.

However, the longer the slow/blocking development of BTC to allow scaling go on the more likely it is that one or more Alts will break through to seriously compete with BTC in terms of usage and market cap. It will be one which scales and has compelling new blockchain usages.

If, and when, that happens I would imagine that many other alts will be dragged along for the rollercoaster ride. There nearly half a dozen candidates already in existence or close to release that, in my opinion, could do this.

I don't think the bear market is over remember Bitcoin bear period , most of these tokens are price higher than their actual market value, I can see more dip in price as the year wind down.

for example: Monero dropped under $5 few days ago, then it has pumped again to over$6, Dash was above $10.5 few days ago and now it is under $10. Lisk is very changeable as well.

almost all of them have the potential but the question should be which one of them is going to meet that potential soon.
and to answer that you have to look at so many different factors like the development of that coin, the market and how the orderbooks look like and if people are even interested in that particular altcoin to buy it and let the price go up. there is also pumps that you can look for and maybe find some early and join in.

you need to find that for yourself.

How about Monero which got 20x pump a while back?

How about NEM, which got 20x too a few months ago, or SC which used to be 7 sats in January and got 170 sats a while back?

How about NAUT, STEEM, ETC, SYS, SDC, ...?

I love bitcoin, but honestly, how long does it take for you to get even a 2x profit in bitcoin land? Good investment in altcoins does that much much faster.

Does anyone really know how to value these myriad shitcoins?  How can you?  They're just digital numbers floating out there in the nodes...who's to say one coin should be more valuable than another?  These bull markets are, in my opinion, completely irrational.  It's pure buying and selling pressure, but it's a mystery why those forces should exist.

Thank you for giving us the definition of a bull market (when a coin goes up at least 50x it's a bull market. %4999 increase or less isn't bullish)! lol
There is enough liquidity when a coin pumps. I remember ETC had near 200,000 BTCs of trade volume when it had its huge pump a few months back, but it has 400 BTCs of volume in poloniex today.

What is true however is that for every altcoin increasing in value, there is another falling. The only trend of the altcoin market is what share altcoins have compared to BTC. That is currently at 83.6%:

You can always make profit if you pick exactly the alts that go up while avoiding the alts that go down. Very similar to the stock market, but hard to achieve.

Do you want to buy bitcoins or alt coins ? Bitcoin prices are already floating in the air ,blame over hyped zcash  for your fall in other alts assuming the latest price breakdown charts.Monero all the way ,answer for the later part.

Their are not many altcoins which are good , just go for some old altcoins like eth, monero, ltc, waves , lisk this are some coins which can perform high when the BTC price goes down. balance all other coins are only pump and dump
