Title: Eligius stats page is underreporting my hashrate by a lot
Post by: Capitan on June 14, 2011, 08:00:41 AM
I have two miners running at ~260Mh/s = 520Mh/s total. I have a scheduled job to kill them and kick them off again every 20 minutes.

The stats page for the Eligious pool lists my hashrate always in the 250-300 range. Why is it so much loger than what Phoenix miner is reporting for me on the command line? Is some of my hashing power being stolen somehow?

Your hashing power reported by your comp is your actual hashing power

The hashing power reported by the miner is a result of the number of work units your submitting over time.

If you get lucky and find more work units in a shorter period of time your effective hash rate will go up.  Unlucky your effective hash rate goes down.
