Title: Cryptominingtalk
Post by: fr4nkthetank on November 13, 2016, 04:50:04 AM
Sup people.  Everytime I browse claymore's thread, or mrb's thread for the ZEC miners (hell even for ETH) its always the same.  New people asking the same ol questions.  So I made this website with pretty much everything you need to know about mining.  I know this looks like shameless promotion (it is) but if some of you could check it out and give me some constructive criticism, that would be appreciated.  Like what you want to see, what you don't understand, what's not well enough explained, stuff like that.  It would be appreciated.  There aren't ads or anything on it yet (if you see ads tell me, I put 2 but they arent active yet).

Thanks.  Its www.cryptominingtalk.com

It only talks about mining pretty much, which is why I put this thread in this section.

No one has to register and only a few will because beside the fact that people has other things to do than reading and posting in forums, there are already bigger forums for this just like bitcointalk.

yeah there is a forum section, but the main site is just a resource center where can learn about stuff.  there is no registration required really.  The forum part is basically is people want to ask question or post their hashrate, etc.  I suppose the main thing is that all the info is there in one place.  thanks for the comment though

Yes it looks good. You are doing reviews with good info that is helpful to all or at least most.
To bookmark sites like this for bitcoin related things is a good idea. More knowledge.

thanks again for the feedback.  Yeah I agree with the last poster, I'll do a giveaway or something.  But first I want to set up ads (google adsense) and get my seo right so people can find it when they search.  All advertising dollars I get will go for a giveaway or something.  good idea.

Looks good to me. Good info and well thought out not just spewed out crap. looking like a good go here. Just add and add more. I am glad you want to advertise more you seem to know what you doing unlike many other people who simply just give up. Looks like you want to continuously develop your site so well done. I would love to partake in your giveaways when they around or even help you promote on twitter.

such feedback, much wow.  I'll post here first when I do a giveaway.  I'm thinking a thread like philipma had before, where there is one winner a week or something, and you guess the next bitcoin diff increase or price.  I decided to not do google adsense, its a hassle and the ads are crappy.  So I put amazon affiliate things up, with related products (and some hand picked).  If people buy with the referral i'll for sure put back all or most of the money into giveaways or even sponsor stuff/signatures if the amounts are good.  Please tell me if its too much (too many ads, too intrusive).  I dont want to annoy people lol, in any case probably most people have an ad-blocker.  I know I do :)

I'm going to do a review of the biostar 6 slot motherboard once I get it, and a DIY cheap ass ghetto rig with PVC pipes (costs about 20-25$, one or two motherboards).

Whoever ordered off amazon, you have my thanks !  And I did do google adsense finally, i figured its not so bad, a couple clicks here and there and it should amount to something...the reason i'm saying this is....soon, soon we'll have a first cryptominingtalk sponsored thread with a prize for guessing either bitcoin diff, price, zcash price, etc.  I'll give what I can :)

Ok well a bit of an update !  Site is going well, good feedback.  Comments don't always show up on the website because I have to manually approve them due to the incredible amounts of spam (lol).  So sorry if your comments dont show up right away.  Send me a PM or an email if you need some help or something.

So the main money maker for the site is referrals (and google adsense).  We are talking dozens of dollars people, dozens !  ด็้็้็้็้็้༼◉Д◉༽ด็้็้็้็้็้   Since this project is for fun and education, its all good to me.  And since I am true to my word, we shall have our first giveaway/contest within one month !  If you have any ideas on what you would like then please reply.  I was thinking, a diff guessing game, or a USB riser giveaway, etc.  Prizes won't be too crazy guys, i mean, dozens of dollars and all !  But, if you keep clicking on those referral links when you buy your stuff, then it pretty much all goes in the giveaway fund.

Big shoutout the person who bought some GPU's through my referral link !  Thank you good sir.

Nice website that you have there, I was searching for mining info but when I search in google it seems almost all sites are obsolete, hopefully this not your case at first view all the information is updated.

Yeah well that's because in the dark times of 2014 for gpu mining, a lot of people stopped their work !  (when litecoin died for gpu mining, and of course, the great bitcoin crash).  I'll try to keep everything up to date for as long as I mine.  By the way, since I get about 500 spam comments a day which are filtered, some real ones get lost in there.  So if you have a question or anything and it doesnt show up after a day or two on the site, just send me an email at admin@cryptominingtalk.com or PM me here, Its a pleasure to answer any questions related to mining.  Or for more specific questions, for example claymore ETH miner, go in the specific thread and search for that question, if you cant find it, post it !

Cyptominingtalk, I think this is a good forum for discussing more specific about the world of mining.
The miner does require a special place to discuss issues related to mining yes especially altcoin mining and the like.
and I am very happy to join because I needed greater knowledge about mining, because I am still a novice but I really like mining.

Thanks Sato$hi, if you are new to the world of mining, this forum is a great place for information too.  For more specific info on how to start up, check out cryptominingtalk, but the best thing you can do is get involved with people here in the threads that interest you most !  Welcome to the club and good luck :)

Ok guys, who still follow this thread ヽ༼◕ل͜◕༽ノ  The is a first sorta giveaway from me going on.  Sorta because its not my giveaway, i'm just tagging along and sponsoring it.  philipma1957 is a well known user here, and he is a trusted escrow for your transactions also - he used to host a diff guessing contest and has given away 1000s of dollars.  Now he's back and we have to guess the bitcoin diff + take into consideration the chance that his bitmaintech equipment fails.  So fun fun stuff.  Anyways, in addition to the prize pool, i'm adding 0.01btc for the winner OR if you are in Canada, i'll mail you a brand new Usb Riser v5c molex.  See the thread here :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1774597.0

Its a start :)  Thanks to all that ordered through my referral code with amazon !  The more people support the website, the more I'll give away for sure.  I'm thinking giving away gear vs pure bitcoin too, since the website is about building your mining rigs.  My dream is to give away GPU's lol, that would be awesome.
