Title: Bitcoin in the Holy Bible - The Book of Daniel
Post by: gilgil on April 05, 2013, 01:53:48 PM
I want to share with you something that really gave me goosebumps.

As you know Bitcoin has also reached Israel, and I'm an Admin in a Hebrew facebook group regarding Bitcoin.

A few minutes ago, this guy posted the following image:

https://i.imgur.com/89MnHgg.jpg?1

He has made a new line every 800 letters, and this is what he got:

In red, you can see "ביטקוין", which is the Hebrew for "Bitcoin".

Even more, in the line for the 'i' or 'י', Chapter 10, Verse 13, you can see "עשרים ואחת" which is twenty-one (in black).

Following this discovery I have read a bit through the Book of Daniel and found even scarier analogies - precious metals turning to dust, war of north & south... Writing this gives me goosebumps again...

To me they looks like the seven symbols needed to use a Stargate

Chevron 7 locked!

And if you take the 7628th, 9731st, 11487th, and 17952nd letter in this book I'm reading, it spells out my username... Freaky

Which is clearly a bullish signal right?

That's neat. I never read this novel; is it a good'n?

I'm more curious about the bible's talks of "one world currency" and "mark of the beast" and how that ties in with potential uses of Bitcoin.

OMG this has been discredited over and over. Using this method one can find almost any word or passage. It's a simple math trick. Another example of discoveries made in the Bible. "there is no God, and the this book is full of lies".

When you make a new line every 200 letters, do you get the Hebrew word for Litecoin?

Yes, but the literal translation will be feather. Ironically, on the same page of text will be the word chicken.

It more relates to the implications it has with regards to the whole "one world currency" and "mark of the beast" stuff. Seeing as all of that takes place just before the the millennium. Kind of hard to have any of that stuff, in the form that it is popularly posited by dispensationalists, if we're already in the millennium. This is one of the two eschatological views held by the early church, and it is arrived at by applying a consistent, reformed hermeneutic to interpretation. In other words, by the same way you get calvinism, you get amillennialism.

In other other words, Bitcoin is not Satan's digital candy. (That sounds like something a paranoid KJV-only baby boomer would call it, right?)

That is the one I remember. But since this math trick works on any text, many newly discovered "secrets" have been noticed by changing some of the parameters.  If true, then God has hidden messages in every book ever written.

Also, if you play some songs backwards, you can interpret the gibberish as Satanic messages.

He's right! I just tried it and it said (demoniacally), "Ghmeoir-fkste lacunhshrk ailzshst".

Now, take every third letter = Ghmeoir-fkste lacunhshrk ailzshst.

That's been jumping around in my head every since I got into Bitcoin myself. I consider myself a Christian, and have enjoyed bible prophecy ever since I was a kid. I have been trying to figure out how Bitcoin can be used for a one world government, but I've come to the conclusion that it cannot due to it not being centralized and mostly anonymous. If a single political figure was to control trade, he'd have every address licensed to each person. So perhaps another alt coin where the government issues you one address per person. And it's tied in with your SSN. I personally don't think Bitcoin will ever be used by the anti-christ or any other sort of dictator. But that's just my opinion, I sincerely don't mean to step on any toes, or bash any other religious points of view.

For the same reason I used to think it isn't but now I think it indeed is.

BITCOIN is the Apocalypse!!!  :o

But look up what Apocalypse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apocalypse) actually means: "disclosure of knowledge, hidden from humanity in an era dominated by falsehood and misconception".

Bitcoin will force all the hidden players to come out and show their true faces. Makes perfect sense to me.  8)

Huh!  Now I see why the media portrays the apocalypse as a nuclear wasteland; if people realized the end of the world as we know it would be a good thing, it really would be the apocalypse.
