@OP, for me, it's a nice site. I tried it already by claiming on the only faucet in your faucet listing page. Though it's only one as of now, it's still good for a trial. No problem encountered yet. this is cool, but not everyone can or is able to sign a message, e.g. XAPO addresses.

Here are my problems with FaucetSystem.com in it's current form:

1. it defaults to HTTP on the website
2. it does support HTTPS, but it's a free certificate from CloudFlare, so I bet they're using the "Flexible SSL" setting. That means that connection is only encrypted between you and CloudFlare, but then it's unencrypted plaintext between CloudFlare and FaucetSystem.com servers.
3. they use HTTP endpoints in their libs for migrating Faucet in a BOX script
4. their login form is vulnerable to brute-force attacks
5. no password reset?
6. "I agree to terms and conditions" checkbox, but there's no link to terms anywhere
7. fees for users (not just owners deposits), that doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere on the site, only here on forum
8. there are CSRF vulnerabilities on all forms! That's critical! It means that if someone can compell you to click anything on a random site while you're logged to FaucetSystem.com, they can do pretty much any action on your account. Imagine that someone asks you to check his faucet, you click "Claim" on their faucet and suddenly API keys of all your own faucets are disabled! I think that only password changing is protected (as it requires providing old password).

I wouldn't use that if I were creating a faucet.

I visited faucetsystem.com and first look isn't very good. I only found some basic information about website. There are no any F.A.Q., any information how to contact for support questions. Website looks like didn't finished yet.
As I understand, to receive payments, users have to sign a message. Why? And this is only micropayments service which charge fees for users withdraws.
Do your service have something unique, what others service don't have? Why it's better than others?

No, signature need if you want to change a threshold or personal fee.
I can optimization it through user fee.

I understand that tranactions cost much and you have to cover it from somewhere. Minimal fees on your service isn't high, so, it's not a problem. I wish you luck with your service, I will use it when it will be some faucets.
By the way, as I understand you are owner of biciklo.xyz faucet. I tried it and I received satoshi only after 3 attempts. First two times after solving recaptcha I wasn't redirected to anti bot page, site only reloaded. I think you have to fix something.

Open the faucetbox.php file that you got from FaucetBOX.com and replace all "faucetbox.com" text in that file with "faucetsystem.com".

That's only a little bit better. Please use a valid certificate and "strict" option on CloudFlare. You can get free, really nice certificate from LetsEncrypt.

There are still some problems here.

1. "http://faucetsystem.com/check/" instead of "https://faucetsystem.com/check" is used as a base for balance check for users
2. in "update_faucetinabox_r66_plus" you set 'verify_peer' => false in services.php. That breaks all security, you can just as well use plain http. What's more, setting it like that in services.php means that it applies to all services, not just your FaucetSystem.com!

You're blindly trusting headers sent by user. So I can for example do:


And your script will think that the request came from IP address 8.8.8.8. Repeat that with changing the IP address and I can bypass your antibot system and your timer.

Please please please buy a professional audit of all your code. If I can find such big issues in 5 minutes, people that really want to steal something will find many more.

One more thing (sorry for spam).

I've checked the postClaimThird method in Guest controller, and it seems that you don't check if captcha was actually correctly solved in postClaimSecond. You don't store it in session anywhere and you don't check it in postClaimThird. That means that I can just record what request is made on postClaimThird and then send requests directly to it, skipping the postClaimSecond part. Combine that with blindly trusting user headers and I can:

1. bypass captcha
2. bypass timer (by changing to fake IP addresses)
3. bypass your antibot (by changing to fake IP addresses)

I didn't test it though, so I may missed some protection, but you should take a look at this.

EDIT: maybe focus on security, not features for now :)

It's too early for it to have a big impact (it was released just a few hours ago) and these are so obvious that people have to be aware that there are serious security issues with FaucetSystem.com right now. And I also think it's good to show that the admin is open for reports and fixes them quickly. It's a good PR if he handles it correctly :)

It's not a bad idea, as long as the security flaw gets fixed. I, for one, love the transparency that Kaz is providing. It's rare to get support from such an expert, especially for free.

For now, it just means that the transparency shows that there are security flaws with FaucetSystem. Good to know so early on.

Well.. i think that it's a good idea to report vulnerabilities but not publish the technical details to everyone..
People with working faucet bots don't come here and share their code right? (Or if they do they'll get deleted ass soon as mod find it)

Why you want to ban ref address?

I personally check all faucet different times a day and if some faucet scams users by deleting ref amount, I delete them.

I'm facing lot of problems by using faucetsystem.com faucets. In one faucet my IP was banned without any reasons and I don't know how to contact owner of faucet.
In some other faucet I only receive coins after few claim attempts. After I solve first captcha, page reloads and sometimes I receive "unknown error" I don't know is it faucet owner problems or something wrong in faucet script.

Your address isn't banned don't worry. I misinterpreted the information on the paiments page of the faucet script and i thought that your address was claiming from differents ip's.
And i couldn't find any rotator or website using this wallet address so i thought it wasn't legit.

My understanding is the 2% fee helps pay transaction fees and for the general running of the service. Whether you want to pay it doesn't matter, services such as this one need money to run and this is the best way to get it.

In addition, Xapo probably does require a fee when sending to external Bitcoin addresses. To send Bitcoins over the network you must pay a small fee.

Xapo requires neither incoming nor sending fee.
So that FaucetBOX does.
If FaucetSystem is an alternative to FaucetBOX then it is not a good alternative with their 2% fee.

And they (FaucetBOX) have a negative income (https://faucetbox.com/en/stats). XAPO is a very strange.

I personally want to thank Faucet System.

Say what you want about them, but the site just does what it's supposed to do.  No crazy bells and whistles.  There aren't one hundred different dashboard pages or a lot of complicated controls.  It's a clean, economical design that's easy to use and to understand.  I have never had problems with deposits or payments.  Always timely and handled professionally.

Their script is hands-down the best free micro-wallet faucet script out there.  It's like the web site.  Clean, economical, and mostly gets the job done as far as protection and not paying scammers and cheaters.  We use the script, and we love it.  We can install and configure with Cloudflare and some minor .htaccess changes in minutes.  There is way less bot activity than I had on Epay, and unlike FaucetHub, no account is required to check your balance and manage your withdrawals.

Epay is done, it looks like.  They have lost all credibility.  And the required account at FaucetHub is the only thing keeping me from also putting some assets there.  I urge everyone to at least try the faucets on the rotator, and if you are a webmaster, try the script.  Judge for yourself.

There are fees for webmaster faucet deposits, and they take the referrals from the faucet rotator.  They also do not have a referral program.  This means that Faucet System has income to keep the site running.  For that reason I am glad to pay the fees and let them have the referrals from the list faucets.

Hey man...my withdrawal has still not reflected not even with a transaction id. And I had withdrawn since 26th. I can see it under history with trId PQNIQRUS. I mean, this id is not valid for blockchain tx verification. Great site I must say, but things are really slow when it comes to withdrawals and the site really needs to have us choose what kinds of blockchain fees we can pay so transactions don't take several days to arrive. Imagine my other transaction for 25th to my faucetsytem wallet is still pending as unconfirmed.  Really if you want to grow your site enormously, you might want to consider automating withdrawals instead of every 2-5(+) days it currently is because quite frankly the site already has all the ingredients of what should make it truly great.

Instead of this, why not make the fees part of withdrawal to be editable so the sender can choose what kind of fees to set. That way, every user can own their destiny. I mean, that way, every sender can reduce block time from what it is currently. For some time to come, we are still going to have congestion and high fees, no need wishing it away, but you can fix this by allowing people fix the fees they want to pay not imposing one and making it a luxury service. Is that too much to ask? For a customer centric business like yours? I mean, you should be able to put the customers first like you always strive to do. A good service is always about improvement and customer feedback and I don't need to be told that this issue would make up the no 1 complaint. Withdrawals too slow!

You really need to come up with a solution to this withdrawal fees things. I had already told you to make it dynamic by allowing the users set their own fees but you are adamant on a position that isn't working. I had equally told you to try upgrading wallets to segwit2x compliant wallets so that helps with the fees. Or maybe, you may want to try having an exchange feature on your site that exchanges btc to ltc so one can exchange and avoid this avoidable delay mess.

I mean, can't you pay about 0.01btc to accelerate some of these transactions? Imagine a 0.2BTC transaction volume of well over 150 different transactions having only 0.002BTC as fees and you LOGICALLY think it will get confirmed? If you are a miner, would you confirm it. And to think all you are concerned about is releasing different API versions. Fix this one first. Without easy withdrawals, the business would eventually crumble.

As long as the fees remain what they are, they may never be confirmed for several more weeks or months. We already are preparing for a BTC bull run soon which would mean another increase in significant fees and more network congestion; if in this BTC bear, you cannot fix this unconfirmed txs, I fear we may be sitting ducks. The only logical step would be to accelerate them. I think if everyone with a transaction stuck right now is encouraged to send a few satoshis that would be pulled SOLELY to accelerate these transactions, people would respond to get their txs confirmed quickly. If you have a better idea, I am open to hear them asap because wishing this away isn't working. And please act fast! Be proactive!

First of all, it's not a scam just because you don't take the time to read and understand what the site is all about.  You could not possibly have withdrawn your 1,000 satoshi since there's a 20,000 satoshi withdrawal threshold, which you would know if you had taken the time to actually LOOK.  I have been using this site continuously for over a year.  They have always paid, corrected issues for me as a faucet owner when needed, and there is obviously now a push to improve the site and make it even better.

I was paid today, a day earlier than the scheduled payout shown in the wallet area of the site.

I would also like to take the time to say... the site is looking really good.  The new features are outstanding.  The site is in desperate need of help files, FAQ, and so on. I didn't had much money on Faucetsytem, only few thousands Satoshi, bellow payout treshold, there was only few active faucets, but still, it would be interesting to know what happened...

I had a few thousand as well. Not enough to withdraw, but still I like to hear what happened.

Reading through this thread, it appears to me a few things..

The admin is not good at customer service at all, almost seemed afraid of public speaking, not sure why they didn't find at least one trustworthy person who could help them out a wee tiny bit with such an important part of a business...

I pictured them trying to swim against the current, without a paddle, the way they handled website advancement/tech and customer queries.

If this was someone who bought FS from a previous owner, this new owner definitely bit off more than they could chew..

I am not sure how everyone didn't already jump ship to FaucetHub (although I can only speak as a user of FH, but from what I see FaucetHun is pretty good to FO) though it's apparent that many people did.  I only knew about 'cryptobara' due to the recent a-ds tweet and got curious.


Perhaps embarrassment and obvious loss of the market caused them to just ignore everything and curl up in the corner... And how easy it is to pull an exit scam with crypto, their reputation isn't even ruined personally, they can just make a new account no one would ever know they were really "FaucetSystem".. they were so afraid of public speaking anyways so I doubt online rep matters to them.

I agree with your opinion. Their communication was bad always. Or I should say thatvthere was no communication at all.
No doubt that Faucethub is better service. Faucetsystem only got some after Faucetbox was closed and Faucethub wasn't opened yet. But it looks that old and new owner just didn't cared much about their business and both faucet owners and users didn't saw reasons to use this service. In last months there was only few active faucets left on FS and now it's seems that Faucetsystem decided to make silent exit scam.

Looks like it's gone for good then.

As I said in an early post I lost a few thousand sats, just dust. I wonder how much was lost overall?

Ok, maybe they refunded a-ads, but it's only part of money that they had. How about faucet owners who had deposited to Faucetsytem for faucet payments? How about users who earned BTC by claiming from faucets?

I am a faucet owner.  I have bitcoin in the faucets. How will I get a refund? What of the accumulated coins in various wallets? How will it be refunded? They should open the website again so that users will coins in each individual wallet address should withdral to somewhere else. Either mellowads, faucethub or direct payment to wallets. They can't only refund a-ads.  A-ads is not their only customer/ user

I think a-ads are the only ones who have threatened those with legal consequences.
I guess there where a owner name of this company.....
