Title: [VOTE] HYPER - The Gaming Currency
Post by: CryptoDatabase on November 16, 2016, 06:00:26 AM
This is not a new coin and is not a promotion for HYPER. This thread is only for the HYPER community.

This thread will be for the HYPER community to vote on what they would like to see happen with this coin.

The options in the poll are pretty straight forward, but here is a description to go into more detail.

1. Leave the coin as it is right now and focus on getting new services and games to use it.

2. Obtain a light weight wallet to dispose of the lengthy wait time in opening and syncing the wallet but leave everything else alone

3. Create a better, more up to date coin with specs chosen as a community and do a swap.

HYP and HYPER are different coins. HYPER is currently only traded on Bittrex.

Did my vote and looks like the majority is with me so far. Curious as to what the cost is going to be though (the new coin, getting it set up and everything). I think that may be an important decision for some people in terms of viability.

The cost shouldn't be too much of a concern for the majority as they are not willing to help fund it. I believe it was 2 other people besides myself that said they would help.

I voted for making a new coin. I unfortunately had a problem opening my wallet and then I found my 10k coins gone so am a little sad about that. I really like this coin and there is a great DEV behind it and I had covered some HYPER news on my blog several times in the past.

The HYPER dev hasn't been around in a long time which this thread exists, he abandoned the project.

So there is NO link to the scam coin HYP ?

Yes or no ?

No link as far as I know. Hyper is nothing to do with hyp.

Considering one is called HyperStake (HYP) and this is called HYPER (HYPER) and has been around longer than HyperStake I'm not sure how one could make the assumption that it is the same coin.

The two coins aren't even the same algorithm. HYPER is scrypt, HYP is x11

If it was simply a question as you state  and nothing more then why didn't you accept the answer I had already given?

I said it wasn't the same coin and then you question it again as if the first answer wasn't satisfactory to you as you thought otherwise. If you didn't think otherwise you wouldn't have asked it and would have accepted my first answer as fact instead of wanting me to reiterate what I have already stated.

How's that for pretending to be smart.

Lol Mr penguin xP You make me laugh. Hyper is not a scam coin ? Why would you think that even ? There are a few games that ue it and it is a stead currency. GP is also another very good and stable gaming coin. These coins are legit.

Hyperstake is also a very good and legit coin. Go look at the market and you will see the trade volume.

CryptoDatabase thanks for creating the poll. I think most of us in the HYPER community know what needs to be done (as the poll indicates), now it's just a matter of figuring out next steps to make it happen.

I did not accept the answer ?
Wow you are a bright one aren't ya LOL
I asked the question and did not reply back.
So.. uhhh.. how and where did i not accept the answer ?
Feeling defensive ?
See if i care.. blow me.. that is a YOU problem.

I showcased how you are acting like an idiot.
And i sure as hell do not have anything to do with coins with idiots seemingly behind them in some way.
That is a red-flag in my books !

I can smell the age and stupidity here..

Games ?
I came here for a virtual currency ..not a "games" gimmick.
SO your gimmick does not make your "Currency" legit.  :D

What you should have said idiots is..
Thanks Mr Penguin for providing us the opportunity to dispel any connection to the other coin scam with ALMOST THE SAME EXACT NAME.

Instead you decided to carry on like a stupid child.
Good luck with that ;)

While I think that creating a new coin and swapping our current coins for it would be optimal, I opted to vote for fixing the current wallet instead. Creating a new coin might seem easy because scammers and delusional wannabes release at least 5 new ones every other day, but a true successful coin requires more than just a shiny new logo. The current Hyper already has an acceptable branding and an adequate following, both of which can still be salvaged if we can get a functional wallet that consumes less resources than a triple-A MMO. If you think about it, we would still need a new wallet even if we created a replacement coin for Hyper. We might as well just fix the wallet first, then come back to the idea of making a new coin if the majority is still not satisfied after that. In the end, rather than fiddling around with coin specs, more widespread merchant support would be more beneficial. I highly doubt that any merchant likes waiting half an hour for a wallet to load.

It may be a bit more complicated than just a new wallet though, the slowness could be an issue with the code itself or a problem with the blockchain.

Another issue is funding, the HYPER dev disappeared with the dev fund and only a few people expressed interest in donating to help the coin progress. A new coin would allow the possibility of obtaining whats left of the dev fund using the coins that were not swapped which will allow more services to be created, more games, partnerships, etc. Basically picking up where the previous dev abandoned us.

why dont you open an ANN thread for the coin and discuss there? it would be way better..
more information for new investors and the discussion for the community.

HYPER isn't a new coin, you can find the ANN thread here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=624651.0

This thread was created as a way for the HYPER community to vote and a way for us to keep track of what everyone wants without having to read through pages of various posts and then go from there.

No one likes ME ?

No one likes your coin  :D

I checked out your ANN topic and i see a rebranding clone of Peercoin (or similar)
So tell us all why you needed to create yet ANOTHER POS SCRYPT coin ?
Was it so you can end "Phase 1" of POW/POS mining then move to Phase 3 ?

I could go on with such hillarious things as "Comkort"
Where you say to go buy it..
Scam site hahahha
They posted on my joke topic a congratulations that my coin was added.
Problem was it never existed.. it was a joke.
And so is this coin  :D

Tell everyone here why you couldn't use one of the other POS coins that came out first.

PS:
Your ugly and your mother dresses you funny.. why can't you "Accept" this ?  :o  8)  ;D

PPS:
Nice alternative scam coin here boys..https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=678849.0

You really should research stuff before you post it. I am not the developer of HYPER so I suggest you learn what you are talking about before posting your opinion. Nobody has time for trolls like you so unless you have something productive to add you can talk to yourself from now on.

It is no hidden secret that nobody likes you, you're too full of shit and are just an annoyance.

I never said you were the dev but i knew you would accuse me of saying it though.
If i wanted to i could steer you into saying you slept with your own mother  :o  :D
You are a child who is not too bright.

I don't care who the dev is.
This is Bitcointalk so we can just make new accounts and lie our ass off so what good does that info mean ?

I see you have refused to acknowledge any point i brought up though.
And i would have been done at 1 question asked if you had not been a rude mouthy jerk about it all.

..i didn't know so i asked. (see how questions work ?)
Regardless of the answer i knew it would benefit users knowing.
I should have been told.. "Thank you for asking that great question Spoetnik.."
Instead i was mouthed off and accused of saying things i never said.

So i dug deeper and what do i see ?
A gimmick and a POS SCRYPT coin.
So what am i missing ?
That is why i JUST asked (and was ignored / insulted again)

No one cares who looks whom here.. we are here for information.
Such as why should i get involved with this coin over the hundreds or even thousands of others available.
This is not high school kidiot profiteers.  :D

I will probably be ignored again so i will drop it.
Good luck with your "Gaming gimmick - Proof of Stake / SCRYPT coin "not the dev" guy.  :D

There is a lesson to be learned here if you are smart enough.  ;)

Create a better, more up to date coin with specs chosen as a community and do a swap. Block time should be not less than 2 minutes.

I think the block time is a big part of why it is so slow. If you compare HYPER to other coins with similar specs such as Bitswift there is a very close similarity in how long the wallet takes to load and sync as well as the resources it uses to stay running.

I'm not a coin dev though so this is just speculation on my part, it could be something else entirely.

It has to do with the ANN topic link you posted providing little information which you have to scroll for 10 minutes to get at.. such as coin specs etc.

What little information there was.. included basic coin specs and a message to.. ?
Buy your coins at Comkort (no other exchanges mentioned)

So uhhh ya .. ever get tired of being full of shit ?

And i would bet my left nut you are the damn dev too.. i think your a child as well.
Enjoy your bead press you said you're happy about earlier too LOL
So far this topic has been a sad little debacle hahhaha

And when i said make a new coin i was joking..
So i voted just now make a new coin to be a dick ;)
What do i see ? almost all the votes saying make a new coin.

L oh fucking L hahhahahahha

Ya make more coins lol douche bags  :D

Good luck with your gay shitcoin gimmick.
This reeks of Carbon coin by the way.. so far this has played out the same.
