Bitcoin Forum

So just curious.  I know its almost impossible to tell how many people are actually using Bitcoin in the entire world. Maybe this might be a forum moderator question as well I suppose.  Are new people actively joining this Forum?  Are new people actually coming on to Bitcoin.  I have talked with several of my friends about it and had a couple of them even bite for a bit, but they quickly forget about it and they move on.  I guess I am just curious if Bitcoin trend is growing still or if it is more stable, or at a standstill.

i don't think anything radical is happening right now overall, just the usual slow growth upwards.

We can't say that new people are coming to bitcoin but this number maybe is not increasing rapidly but growing normally because there is nothing that could make people rushing and learn/invest in bitcoin.

Actually we don't know how many people learn/heard bitcoin for the first time but people using it mostly use bitcoin directly or third party apps, and I don't believe that it is rapidly change as there is not "big" news that had affected this.

I would assume the community is growing, although maybe not at a constant and large rate. It could be sporadic; with a ton of new users joining when a big event happens or platonic growth overall. There was some chart I saw a while ago that showed the growth of the forum as per new accounts, it was decent but a lot were probably multi-accounts from existing users.

Community is likely growing, is the forum growing? Probably, but I don't spend enough time looking to know.

Forum registration statistic are a very bad estimate for new users joining the community. There are many spammers that constantly register new alt accounts. The new posts or page views vs. new members ratio shows extreme variations which almost surely indicates mass registration of alt accounts during certain periods.

Besides, this forum is not the only possible place that draws in new Bitcoiners. New people might chose to seek information from other websites and never visit this forum. After all, the Bitcoin ecosystem has grown significantly in the last years.

I'm sure that there are new people coming to Bitcoin. At least I see increased interest regarding the currency in my personal environment...

i am not sure whether there is a relation between the growth of bitcointalk as a forum and bitcoin. if you want to fully understand the growth of bitcoin you have to consider making a click counter when someone downloads a wallet even then there are online wallets and i am sure that people will be using exchanges to store their coins to it is not easy to find the actual growth.

it's loose but doesn't hurt as a stat. there are probably 2-3x more lurkers than people actually signing up too.

there's degrees really. how many download a wallet that ends up with some bitcoin in it? maybe 1 in 10, maybe more, maybe alot less. maybe it takes someone a couple of years from hearing the word bitcoin to actually ending up with some.

All good responses.  Most of that was my thinking as well.  I was sort of trying to see if like the forum Admin's have a better idea of how many people are joining this site, mostly because I am assuming a lot of people have more than 1 account, or possible many accounts on here. 

My guess is Bitcoin is standing nearly still, with a few people here and there joining the cause, but I was just hoping for a definite answer

there's a lot of people, both positive and negative for bitcoin, who'd pay alot of money for definitive information about bitcoin user numbers. no one will ever know for sure.

as for this site, if it's 900,000 or so users, then when we throw in account farmers, alts accounts and troll spammers, maybe there are 1-200,000 'real' users and that's from minute one so alot will have stopped posting.

New people getting into bitcoin is continuing gradually. Every user can't be seen in our forum, there are a lot of users who are using bitcoin but use other sources for bitcoin related information. When there is good, something negative too exists. There are people who doesn't have proper knowledge on these coins, fear of decentralization and stay out. This needs to change.

I think there is no need to have a change in the decentralization of bitcoin. Since this feature makes it unique from other currencies, we don't have to change it  into a centralized form. All we need to do is to inform the rookies about all the good things in bitcoin. Feed them with proper knowledge about bitcoin so the negative ideas will be replaced by positive ones. Continuing to promote bitcoin and its strengths will encourage many people to join the community.

I think it's +/- this amount of real users on forum and most of this number (100.000-200.000) inactives. Many Bitcoin users aren't or don't want to be connected with the crypto-currencies community, they just want to buy some BTCs, hold it and make profit. I see many people on social medias talking, but they aren't here on forum.

But I'm sure more people start using Bitcoins each new day, even if they don't use online forums.

A friend of mine recently got interested in bitcoin again, mainly due to gambling. He has been asking me a lot of questions lately and it is good that his interest is there again. Another friend of mine also bought a few bitcoins along with his brother and said that he has been holding it and just waiting for the price to increase.

I assume that there are gradually more and more people learning about bitcoin and trying it out. I think there will be a growing acceptance but it will take time.

There is no way to measure the number of people coming to bitcoin, there are some stats like the amount of wallets or the amount of users here, personally I prefer to use price as the indicator, bitcoin has ups and down but right now is in the 700+ and it seems its going to keep there that means that enough people are coming to bitcoin to hold such price.

It seems fewer people are registering but this can't give correct number of new people who are getting interested in bitcoin and for sure it is really high number than this 300+ on average per day.

Only few of those newbie came to know about bitcointalk or think about joining this forum on starting days. Most of them will just register on web wallets and trading platform to just buy bitcoin and store for future. Blockchain.info wallet have recently announced they have 8 million+ wallets and also number have been increased dramatically recently, which could be enough to figure out really high numbers of new people are joining bitcoin trend.

Intresting question op. The thing is it difficult to say whether new people would be coming in or not, as it's difficult to gauge the number of people coming in or not. Yes new people remember Bitcoin and then they forget it also. But I feel the trend is new people are coming to Bitcoin and sooner or later every one shall mostly be using just Bitcoin only

I think the new people who come into bitcoin true. namely to find bitcoin. because I am in this case I was a novice here. I am very serious in our understanding of Bitcoin today. because everything can change after knowing bitcoin.

Everyday, there are many people are joining this forum or start to do bitcoin because they have been influenced by their friends or maybe their family.

Bitcoin is not that hard to understand once there was someone who introduced it to you clearly. Most of the people here in this forum was amazed to

bitcoin when they heard it for the first time that's why they are all here, doing there task to earn bitcoin for the source of their income and so on.

i am sure that in out there, many new people coming into bitcoin industry but for joining into this forum, i am not sure, because people in out there maybe don't know yet about this forum or they just register into other site. but i am sure, in future, there will be more people for join in this forum and share their knowledge and info so all members on here can learn together and get profit together.

I think yes, i'm sure there are many new people every year that join and use bitcoin. Because the future of bitcoin is really promising and people will look into it and maybe they will use bitcoin for transaction and investment too.

yes I agree with you. probably every day has come some new users to join this forum. For bitcoin has crowded the talk lately in several countries. for example in my country, every day there are a lot of new users who come to benefit from the bitcoin. because bitcoin can be made in additional income.

i do have lots of office mate who also joining bitcoin investment as they see that i successfully got good profits from it but i can't say that we can count them from time to time and even there's new users who's coming in for me the value of bitcoin really attracting them and most of them are also looking for possibility to gain profits.

Yes , daily new new persons entering the bitcoin job because Daily we are finding new new threads in this forum where it is mentioned that " i am newbie help me etc " .
But mainly we can see the most of the number of people coming during the price is high .

About the users on forum, I think a lot of people don't use the forum but use bitcoin however we have a big and great comunity here.

The growth is not where you expect it to be from. It will not be from the ordinary people like your friends. Why would they use Bitcoin when their money earned from their jobs are good enough to buy them the things they need? There is no need to change the present system because it is already working and it is efficient for the everyday things we do.

The growth will come from the criminals, the hackers, the terrorists and the drug dealers, etc. The growth of Bitcoin use in the darknet and in the underground is growing because Bitcoin can circumvent the financial system run by the banks and it is making their criminal operations better and more efficient.

Its really impossible  to  know  regarding on this  matter  because   you cannot  just  rely  fully on  this  forum  just to tell if there are  new  people  who engaged into bitcoin  on daily basis because  there are still  people  who do tend  to  engage  bitcoin without  the  awareness or   knowledge  on this  forum. So  theres  no  precise  answer here.

Forum stats is a poor indication of Bitcoin adoption, if that was the thinking behind your question. We need regulated exchanges and wallet providers to release their stats to give us a more accurate view on adoption statistics. I know Blockchain.info < not regulated > shows a increase in registered accounts being created.

Bitcoin is still growing, but people from first world countries seems reluctant to move over from fiat to Bitcoin, because they are spoiled for choice, with other payment solutions and good internet access.

I think the issue of new people been introduced and use bitcoin its a gradual process....though its not an immediate thing, new ones will have to be convinced and get a better explaination of its use...though i can say they have been a steadly growth of new ones knowing bitcoin as its becoming widely known and recognised...and accepted locally... i believe in the future btc will be the talk of the town.......

bitcoin works in a way that no one can answer this question ever and say my answer is the closest to reality because there is no centralized entity that can tell us how many people are using bitcoin.
there are many ways to get an estimate though!

for example what you asked can be found here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=stats which shows a 904K users and about 10K-20K new users each month but how many of these are throwaway, spam bots, alts, banned users creating new account,...

you can check blockchain.info number of wallets which I think was 9 million or something and again you can never tell how many are secondary and how many are actually being used. so many people are using BC.I as a watch only wallet.

what I like to watch is the number of transactions per day which I think is a better estimate compared to others.

I think the people adopting bitcoin is increasing by day. There are lots of propaganda and campaign for bitcoin.  Aside from that, multi level marketing industry also adopting bitcoin as their means of attraction to new people.  there are several MLM company that were established for the sole purpose of marketing bitcoin and get profit from it.

Don't know how much people are joining(buying or using) bitcoins but for sure more people are coming...

However there's people leaving, the true question is how many still on game...

of course it is increasing. there are always new people who start using bitcoin and the simplest reason for that is that bitcoin is accepted by such a small portion of the word so there is always new people who find out about bitcoin and start investing until we reach mass adoption. and we can see that effect in price clearly.

I do believe we keep growing all days, this forum is just one place were people does follow and earn some bitcoins, there are others places to buy bitcoin directly as well to sold, we are growing all days as well the bitcoin price that is bringing more and more people.

what you ask -as others have pointed out- is available in the stats page to everyone what you should have asked was where do they come from, as in their IP address for example which country sends the most visitors.


i have had that problem with my friends and all those who i have introduced to bitcoin. they all face the same problems: "no place to use bitcoin" and i guess until that problem exists we will have a hard time introducing bitcoin to others.

I bet your friends already have their own source of income and are too busy to add another one. If they aren't into bitcoins, then just let them. The population and popularity of bitcoins doesn't depend on your friends. There are 7 billion people in the world and your friends are just a small fraction of it.

There might be a lot of people in here that have had the opposite experience as yours. For example, I didn't push my friends into doing bitcoins. They start doing it themselves. I don't want to spoon feed them and I guess they just think that I'm somehow cool and financially responsible as I can manage my time properly and earn money. I've become an example to them and they just followed my path.

You are right that only moderator can tell us about the average number of new user in bitcoin but still in my thinking it is not possible to find out that exactly how much person or newcomers coming in bitcoin , because one person can make more than one account in this forum .
So it is a tedious task for everyone .

There is a gradual trickle of people learning about Bitcoin. Every now and then, when you have events like the Cyprus crisis or Indian Govt's demonetization drive, there is a spike in interest and more people enter Bitcoin.

members.It`s even more difficult to know the number of people who use btc.

New people are coming all the time. Recently I've spoken with the guy who learned about the Bitcoin few months ago and got very interested. Some stay in.Bitcoin world just temporary, for a while, but other get realy involved and engaged trying also to recruit new bitcoiners.

It is possible as they are looking an avenue to store their monetary assets.There are also others who are looking for investment, and bitcoin is one of their option.Those who are doing this are visionary people who are looking or thinking ahead of their time.

You can estimate the number of new peoples learning about Bitcoins and trading/exchanging bitcoins based on Google trends search volumes of Bitcoin and the Bitcoin purchase volume on an exchange in a particular country. Also, do keep in mind that not all of the trading happens on one exchange, so you could do the match and calculate the average bitcoin transactions from different exchanges in your country and determine the % increase in transactions. Most certainly this won't give you a clear picture at all of how many new people use Bitcoin, but it'll hint you that if trade volumes are building up newer and newer people are investing in it. You could get to know this base don market analysis and news or events that affect a particular countries currency or stock markets, where if a sudden devalue happens, Bitcoin price tends to soar up.

According to coindesk it is roughly estimated that close to or less than 100 Million people use Bitcoin. A web wallet service could easily track registrations of users based on a single IP to determine unique hits and find out how many such unique hits have created wallets. But ofcourse, a lot of people would not use that particular web wallet and may prefer using hardware wallets or desktop wallets.

Yes certainly there are. Bitcoin market is becoming more popular. It's exchange rate was increasing and its market are very consistent. Like in facebook, some of my friends are posting about bitcoin on their wall so their friends which don't know about bitcoin would see it, will get idea to make profit, and will catch their attention to know more about it.

A lot of people are interested in making money online. Don't expect a lot of users to come though. Our generation is full of lazy people expecting to earn easy money online. They basically want to earn money but don't want to spend time and effort. Sure there are and it's no surprise because cryptocurrencies as a whole are becoming more popular and we will see their popularity increase as the economy continues to have hard times,there will always be people leaving BTC and new ones adopting it,what's more important is the latter to be the bigger group and if that's the case,we will see bright times facing BTC and I really hope for that

i can understand the op's situation i too try to explain bitcoin to my collage friends but they hardly remember just the name of it or maybe thats also a difficult task for them. i have some friends who join this fourm and also have friends who prefer banks more than bitcoin

Seems like a lot of folks are pouring into bitcoin, just judging by all the newbies on this forum--they can't all be alts.  And on some other forums, I've seen talk of bitcoin where I haven't before.  It's a slow growth, which is good.  I used to consider bitcoin a fad destined to die, but in the past few years that's been proven (to me) to be false.  There's real utility and real interest.

I would be surprised if there weren't new people coming into Bitcoin, so I would assume that it is fairly safe to say that there are more people entering the Bitcoin economy every day.

The forum should have some statistics somewhere about new accounts made, and while that isn't a great indicator, it can still give a decently good idea.

I disagree with all the people saying no in here, I would say that the majority of people don't get into Bitcoin steadily over time, it happens with events in the real world. For example, there was a large spike in Bitcoin users when India announced the discontinuation of 2 of their bank notes.

Probably yes, because bitcoin keeps on giving opportunity to everyone who wishes to utilize the said coin. Also, people may have started to realize that bitcoin really is a nice investment and tool after all aside from the conventional dollar and credit cards, and banks lol. Also, as I see on the stats of a local currency exchange, more and more people are buying a share of their bitcoin every week. That means that the interest is already there, it only needs to be built up so that people would continue to support and use bitcoin.

Definitely yes, Lots of lots of people are able to know Bitcoin everyday, Bitcoin is not only being advertise here in this forum but also in many social media sites like facebook,twitter etc etc. Who will not get curious in Bitcoin? Bitcoin can give you profit if you will use it well.

If the number of people coming to bitcoin would be decreased or no new people in bitcoin then the price would not be the same as it is now because people will not be interested to invest in bitcoin nor trading.

We should be clear that we can't push people to join bitcoin because they will not like it because they were "forced" to use bitcoin and we have lots of examples like the ransoware where people are forced to buy bitcoin.

Yes, everyday there are new people coming to bitcoin. It's either their friends told them about it or they have just heard it to someone and it pokes their interest. Bitcoin can easily persuade people because of it's benefits to people. It can be a source of income for everyone even if they are just in their home they can earn bitcoin and convert to cash which they can spend for their everyday living.

I may think if this has little chance, although there was no the clear answer about this. No one can calculate about the definite answer for this question. I thought if the steady adoption is there, although if it is just one person for a day.

Ofcourse steady adoption is there, and even more than 1 or 10 people are joining bitcoin community everyday, adoption of bitcoin in people does not require any real world event i guess, because the ones who use internet can anytime see bitcoin on a site and join it, so that is always available and it is also attracting people towards it, we can see that on this forum where the population is increasing to a large extent.

Yes i guess, there are new people coming to bitcoins and usually they are traders, investors who making investment into bitcoins for long term and we could saw bitcoin's price is increasing, and sometime come from companies who will make innovation with bitcoins technology.

yes the real number of bitcoin users cannot be calculated, the official authorities may know about the actual number of bitcoin users, but if we just examine our surrounding we can also avaluate the fact about the number of bitcoin for example in my ares when i started using bitcoin, i think therefore just a few number of bitcoin users at that time but  now as i also introduced bitcoin to my friends and other who knew a about bitcoin may also have introduced bitcoin to other people therefore the number of bitcoin users in my area are so much increase as compare to the previous number of bitcoin users.

Theres  no  really accurate  number   on this  because  adoption is  on progress  and  it  do  happen  all  over  the world on  any places. It may  rise  without our  notice.
In my own perspective  there are really  new  people  who  do engage to bitcoin  because its  a good  crypto currency and people would   really see  it   and for sure they would engage to it.  Same as yours bitcoin  appearance  is already  spreading  into my place.

adoption if it happens will be noticeable easily. and i am not talking about just one random more person buying bitcoin but a real adoption like even a small one for example a shop starting to accept bitcoin or a bitcoin ATM in some place crowded.

One good way to check the interest of the public on bitcoin, is viewing the statistics from the search term "bitcoin", in my opnion there's no much interest however we can see more and more people searching for "blockchain", so I think people will make a lot of new projects based on blockchain and bitcoin will stay in the same bubble.

I think there's actually a lot of new people coming to bitcoins everyday. The reason for this is that I am in a facebook group and a lot of people are asking for obvious things and saying that they're just a newbie. Basically just people who are expecting that someone will spoon feed them just because they're new to bitcoins. They don't know that people don't actually care about them. I have a very active facebook account and there's always some one poping what is bitcoin or gets curiousc whenever one holder post his bitcoin earnings,so yes there's always new people  coming in or getting to know what bitcoin is.

Besides those investors and traders, there are also people coming towards bitcoin because of the interest they have in earning money and bitcoin provides them the opportunity to do that, so yes, the community is increasing, though slowly but for sure.

I feel that every day so many new users who are looking for bitcoin. Well, maybe they are people who are interested in the business, or would like to try to make an income on the internet. may they find bitcoin of ads or sites they visit, but I guess not everyone can maintain his willingness to learn more about bitcoin

i think now it is not a steady adaptation, now it is a rapid adaptation, as we can see that people are entering in the world of bitcoin and are investing their fiat money. hope that very soon a majority of people will be using bitcoin for different purposes.

But I believe, faucets are playing big role in attracting new people into bitcoin ecosystem. Faucets resembles a successful industry 'paid to click'. There are reasonable amount of new people who regularly joining ptc sites and faucets give them an opportunity to enter into bitcoins.

in previous few months i think only for one time the price of bitcoin seriously fell down when the hacking news of bitfinex spread in market and people start panic selling, and with in 3 days the price of bitcoin fell down form 660 round about to 500 USD, but i think very soon the market of bitcoin recover its previous position and now trading above 740 USD, so it can be concluded that not a single person can claim that he lost their money in trading bitcoin, to me i think every one must have secure a good profit when the price of bitcoin cross 700 USD level.

Checking the price of bitcoin right now is gradually decreasing and i think there is panic selling this days.. But this is not the real reason why people are left.. i think they are expecting more for bitcoin to make profit in investing there money and wait for a long time to sell it bitcoin needs patience..
I think the reason why they are left in bitcoin it is because they are experience of scam by others that they have no power to recover it back or charge back..

Number of people joining here in the forum can't be the basis in measuring the actual number of people coming into bitcoin. This forum might have a big number of users but it won't sum up the total number of all bitcoin users. In my opinion, there's a continuous growth in bitcoin community. We can see it not only here but also in facebook and other social media groups about bitcoin. Though as you have said that some might forget about it,  there are still new members that are coming in everyday.

It is pretty inevitable that people will come and use Bitcoin, The only problem is we don't know it because of its anonymity. People daily for sure are creating new addresses some might have more than 1 Bitcoin address in their disposal. Also about my friends as well, some of them also know what Bitcoin is, but they don't use it for any special purpose. Maybe some day they will try to have their own wallet addresses.

Yes new people are coming in bitcoin and I can tell you that from my own experience. I posted a pic on instragram when I was playing with my bitcoin paper wallets and immediately after posting that pic I got messages from three of my friends to learn more about it and I explained them in short about bitcoin and its growth over the period and they were impressed. 2 of them are planning to buy at least little of bitcoins for long term so yes people are getting in to bitcoin (doesn’t matter monetary motivated).

The truth is that members of this forum is just part of the bitcoin base users.  I have known someone that uses bitcoin and also known bitcoin and don't even know bitcointalk.org.  They were introduced to bitcoin by an mlm company and was informed about its existence and usage thru seminars and meet-ups.

Obviously, bitcoin is expanding because information about bitcoin is expanding. That is why you see in some countries ATM machines for bitcoin, which make it very efficient for people to buy/sell. Though I prefer localbitcoins to be honest. From what I can see, each year I have more options to do something with my bitcoins. More and more places to earn and sell bitcoin too.

I'm new here. My experience here in this forum will be a month at the start of the December. That's new, right? It's a shame that it's just now that I've learned Bitcoin. I think my time was wasted not knowing it when if I knew about Bitcoin last year, I would have earned more and really know what are the possibilities of Bitcoin. Maybe learning how to code or something, but that's life. I'm new, and I'm dealing with it  ;D

Everyday, even me I am even surprised with the rate at which the awareness is even rampant rate but hopefully it will be sustainable because without that, we are back to square-one and the increase in awareness is largely due the proliferation of Multi-level marketing that accepts Bitcoin as a form of currency in lieu of cash so if those thing should eventually crash, hopefully we can still keep some of the numbers that came to Bitcoin through that source.

WE are not yet mainstream so still no so many people are here.

I think there is a steady growth for now. But there is a chance for high growth rate due to ever increasing popularity of bitcoin not only as an investment instrument, also as a medium of exchange. If the number of the retail market participants which accept bitcoin, the number of the people who are driven to crypto currency world will boom.

This is just pure intuitive speculation on my part, but my guess is that the amount of new people coming into bitcoin correlates with the price of bitcoin and how much that price is in the news/media.

When the price spikes up significantly, there will be more interest, obviously. When the price is stable/stagnant for extended periods of time, there will be less interest and thus less newcomers to bitcoin, comparatively. When the price goes down, I imagine people would tend not to bother.

Yup, due to its increasing demand, and more an more people are joining Bitcoin an earning some money. It is impossible that bitcoin will not spread because of word of mouth. Teenagers nowadays are very much active un terms of social networking. Some make this a tool in order to introduce bitcoin to them. Since we are now modernized, teens can easily adopt and know what is bitcoin, how do it works so bitcoin can be spread easily and later will be well known as it was now.

The thing is, even to mods and admins, just like new users using bitcoin, the forum is anonymous and requires no ID. Someone can easily spoof their IP and make many many accounts.

Some people thinks that once you've invested in bitcoins, after a while you're going to have profit. They aren't aware that bitcoin takes a month or so before a rise happens most of the time. Some just blindly invests in a cryptocurrency without knowing this. Good thing that you told her that because she might blame you if after a couple of days and then she checks her wallet and didn't rise that much. And when I tell him about this site and that commenting is also a good way for making bitcoins he just rolls his eyes up and that's it. The population of new users differs from country to country. In some countries where Bitcoins are getting added to the payment gateways of different services the percentage of new users is high. Worldwide it is impossible to know exactly how many new people are coming to bitcoin, but I would guess that it is a steady stream.

Personally I know more and more people in my local area (friends, co-workers, family) that are now educated about bitcoin and some have bought.  My immediate family (mother, father, sister) now all have a "bit" of bitcoin.  They are still a bit cautious but at least they have some and know how to purchase.  I try to educate people whenever I can about btc.

From what I can see, many people who do not know anything about bitcoin are gamblers and are looking for either casino or poker or sports. Although OP was specifically asking about the new users registered in this forum, I see that most of those who have answered did not understand the question and talk about the new users adopting the bitcoin as currency.

It is clear that in both cases there is a considerable increase of new bitcoiners, and fortunately there is still much room to grow even more.

New people coming to this forum, I think it's just alts and alts that are creating new accounts for signature campaign farming, but as for genuine people coming to learn more about bitcoin, I think there's only a few of them. As for the bitcoin ecosystem, yes. there might be a few people coming over but upon checking search trends on Google, it seems that the interest is there but not that really high.

We sould be creating more ways to get more people to use bitcoin.  There is so much potential here, we just need the people to invite others and teach them about it.

Actually only a small portion of the total users of bitcoin are active in the forum, some have different source of information where they can use for whatever business venture they are doing, but definitely some of them have an account here and they are just reading our healthy conversation here.

There are new youngsters who are getting to know the advantageous and how effective it could be used in coming time are more curious to know about technology and how does it work. There are frequent meet up also held where new people come to know more it.

Its really a possible thing that some people just do tend to go on this forum just to get more informations on which this forum has but we cant even still get the precise number on how many people are active or engage into bitcoin on daily basis since its not only joining this forum is the possible ways to know about more bitcoin.

People who are coming to this forum is just a small fraction that is actually joining Bitcoin everyday.  There are people that I known that know bitcoin but never visit this forum.  I told them to know more about cryptocurrency they should visit this forum for reference.

You have the point this is not the only place where you can see more information about bitcoin and i think more people are joining because of benefits given by bitcoin. and other company like in our wallet here in my country that we can pay our monthly bills like electricity and other monthly bills to our house . you can pay in bitcoin.. the other thing is you can use remittance without going outside in your house if you already have deposited your bitcoin account.. or many site that are giving freelance and pay for bitcoin.. There are lots of users of bitcoin especially in mining, and not all of them are active here in forum because they are contented in what they are earning there and was also focusing on their job. Also, there are lots of users in gambling site that are just earning bitcoin thru it.

Of course, for sure everyday there is a newcomer in btc but not that large number. I was also like your friend before I ignore btc when I saw it for the first time in a local forum. Maybe because the only one site i know is freebitco.in and I calculated the total earnings for 1year and still cant make 1btc. So I didnt get interested by that time.

If course new people are coming, this site or another, believe me bitcoin is getting it's popularity with fast temps. I am not sure that counting of users by the number of accounts is going to be correct, cause of one person can have several accounts till it not be found.

In my place bitcoin is a more attractive and interesting currency every person who know about bitcoin want to learn about it and they start searching on internet and get more knowledge about bitcoin each day. They also adopt it for their online shopping and for other international transactions.

Where are you from? I'm travelling around the world like every two weeks or every month and yet I haven't found one business that I went to that accepts Bitcoin payment. More and more people are joining Bitcoin, especially with the recent demonetisation event in India and Venezuela.. That boosts the price increase by a little bit, so we will probably see a higher price in the future.

in my place people are not so interested about bitcoin, they even say bitcoin just a temporary trend, probably because not many people know bitcoin.

Not because they don't know, but because it needs some knowledge of using internet and related features. I have seen people who doesn't have knowledge of market shares but on hearing its profitable just invest for a long and finally ends in loss because won't withdrew when it is profitable. Same is with bitcoin better to stay out or just need to learn a bit and involve, else might suffer in the middle.

Yes new people are coming in bitcoin but most of them are here to earn profits out of it (well, there is nothing wrong in it) but still bitcoin is something that is much more than a trading or investment platform. It is a revolutionary technology in payment system which is whole different from fiat and that’s what the prime feature of bitcoin. I think we should help new comers to focus on core values and not just on price.

Every day their are many people starting using bitcoins , I think they were invited by the referral hunter to make an account and start using bitcoins. Of course they all want some profit or they want to earn money in the internet.

Bitcoin doesn't offer any referral programs and if some referral hunter were referring someone then it's about some sites are having some sort of referring programs to boost up their users. Bitcoin have nothing to do with those referral and they might only interested by the program which some websites offered. Bitcoin is only a currency not a business

In the whole world, of course yes. However I don't think there will be new people joining the world of Bitcoin in my city. It is just a outdated discussion topic there :( Some other will join the bitcoin community just because they can earn money out of us (if you google 'how to make money online', there will be a page/an article on bitcoin within the first few pages). That's why I had seen bitcoin faucets in google results about earning money online.

P.S. The number of newly registered accounts of bitcointalk do not equal the number of new people joining the community. This is due to account farmers (who make multiple accounts), scammers and spammers (I have seen some topics on 'Bitcoin Discussion" board have no relation on Bitcoin at all and looked like an advertisement of some product which the seller don't even accept BTC!).

i think bitcoin don't just trend, but nice digital currency and also can be used as payment for everyday needs and also place investment

Yes, of course. We can relate it to our life cycle that we are going through, Like example for those people died and new born babies. The newbie is the new born babies and the people of being banned are the people died. There's a plenty of people of being born rather than to the people died, there's a 3 new born babies while 2 people died in every second so that is why that our population is rapidly increased so the Bitcoiner rapidly increased as well.

Here on forum its easy to see that, here we always have some newbies. I notice  new names on poker, and generally I think new people are joining all the time.
New people are coming all the time, question is when we'll see mass adoption, like thousands and thousands people bto join each day, is there a chance for something like that too happen?

People will look for new investment opportunities and since bitcoin is booming at the moment new people will be attracted to the new technology. Bitcoin started the revolution and now we have an entire market for trading .

We actually have a very good community that's why people are coming in here in the forum, they want to learn because they hear that there are a lot of people who are successful with their investment because of bitcoin, they are right actually because here people are doing healthy discussion where a newbie can learn on the method if he really is interested.

They do not read because they do not ask. Maybe they asked only on how to do bitcoins. Eager people is equal to nothing, before I tried this forum, I read many articles, blogs even the posts then I understand the process of bitcoin world. At first, it is very complicated, very confusing then you think twice if you want to continue or surrender. Quitters are always loser.

Im speaking with people that  are interested in bitcoins. They does not know absolutly anything about it, and yet they are not hostile towards it. I see them as possible future bitcoin users, so there are obviously a people that join the community on a daily basis.

Yes there it is, There is a chance for massive adoption of thousands of people to adopt or use bitcoin. We just need more popularity and also bitcoin needs to expose or introduce to different people in different country and after that it will become easy for bitcoin to attract investors or regular users and after that it will affect the markets around those countries and just after a few months there will be a high chance that they will add bitcoin as their another kind of payment and that will be good and it will increase the progress for bitcoin in becoming a great currency.

There are always new people coming to bitcoin everyday, BTC is a fast-growing cypto-currency nowadays. On the other side, not all new user here in the forum stay for long because some of them think only to earn immediately. It is not that easy right? they should read, study and learn it first.

And where did you get this number? I dont think it is that way high for the newcomers. Truly there will almost be someone everyday but not that many. Although it is slow it will good specially for old timers to get some more before it will be revealed to more people.

Yes you are right there are many people right there don't know exatly what is bitcoin but even many people are attracting to bitcoin because it's price and many people are afraid because it's price. But any how daily many people are joining into bitcoin community to find out how it works and how the are beneficial from it.

Even if that is true a thousand people can't make any effect on the price of Bitcoin. 1000 people cannot influence the price to go up to make Bitcoin the most expensive currency. Don't be to optimistic that it is always a battle of how many people join it always depend on supply and demand.

The amount of bitcoin they are spending would help to increase the circulation and the demand of bitcoins, if this people will just come in and spend like BTC0.01 one time, then it would not really help. Only those who patronize and use it regularly would help bitcoin grow.

You already answered your question my brother, But still let me answer it too, for what is happening now in the price of bitcoin it is obviously rapidly increasing since a couple of days past. It means that many people are more getting in here in our sites. The community is getting bigger and bigger and the value of it is becoming better and better.

1000 newcomer and make investment each 10 bitcoin average ,
it is 10,000 bitcoin bought from the market ,
guess what will happened ? of course the price affected and moved up!

What we can do now is just to analyze why the price is moving up, and of course one of the reason is that new people are adopting with bitcoins and they created demand that had result to the current price movement, once an adopter fully adopt with bitcoin, it is expected that the will constantly use bitcoin regardless of the purpose he is making.

Well i am shock what is the price right now we are currently $905.7 in preev price. well im already expecting about the price since every nearly christmass the price of bitcoin is gradually increase just like last year if you are holding bitcoins before and always monitor the price you can notice it all movement of the price there is similar movements.

Seems must be true. When bitcoin is gaining its higher price levels new people are automatically get attracted and start investing into bitcoin ecosystem. When new people are entering, obviously bitcoin will gain new high prices. So it is a chain reactions that keep on happening.

Second, 1000 people could certainly influence the price of Bitcoin, either directly or indirectly, it all depends on how much they'd put into buying Bitcoin.

We are 7 billion people in the world, it can't be possible to everyone know about this in the same time  :P Every single day more and more, hear it somewhere and interested to learn or they already know about it and want to invest. I just made a wallet this month. My cousin use it to send me money. Guess I'm one of those new people coming to Bitcoin. Right now I'm looking around for opportunities to earn bitcoin. If if's something I can do in just a few hours a day then that would be great considering how  high the price of btc is going up.

For me, i think there are new people here in this forum, as proof i have two friends that are new here. All newbies and new to this forum. And i think that many people will be joining this forum in the future because bitcoin is being introduce to people by its user and members of this forum.

Every day new people might have intertest on bitcoin they might confuse as well thinking what bitcoin is and what bitcoin will be if they use it, There are new people in this community too everyday nowadays as you can see bitcoin price is too expensive and if they use bitcoin and get bitcoin for free then they will be happy.

More people are getting familiar with bitcoin all around the world gradually. But i dont think that all of them will be joining bitcoin forum.People suffer in some countries due to instability of currencies and demonitisation as in india. So their only option to secure their investments is bitcoin.We could also see the price increase in bitcoin due to its high demand.
