I do not have much time right now. Therefore only a quick overview. Let me know what you want to know. But this will may change with the next/final firmware. They working hard on it :) I have measured with an Enermax Platimax EPM1000EWT as PSU and an intermediate plug, not with a fluke. So it is only a good approximation ;-) Yes, the efficiency is currently not as good as that of Bitmain. But since the 16nm hardware lifetime will be longer, I rate the build quality and customer service as more important. No up/down spinning, thereby it appears slightly quieter But the ambient temperature is also quite low... I assume thats 2 A7's in the cgminer webgui pic? Its showing 12TH/s avg... But I would say quieter than S7/9, the same as the A6 Can anyone with a unit comment on their noise level? I would call these only moderately loud, whereas the S7 was extremely loud. Not quiet enough to have in your bedroom but okay in another part of your house. One page says 3 month warranty. another page says 2 year warranty. i bought 2 avalont 721 and one went out after 2 months. i contacted them about the warrant 3/15/2017. they asked for more info and i got back to them the same day. its now 3/21/2017 and i emailed them 2 more times and then requested an RMA (per their site info) and i have not heard back from them. I dont think they honor their warranty. stay away!!!

Too bad I thought exactly the same, until I started to replace the thermal grease on Avalon6s of my fellow. The PCB is looking to be much more religiously designed than Bitmain's PCBs... Voltage Offset: -2 Minimum Fan%: 22 More Options: --avalon7-smart-speed 0 --avalon7-freq 396 With those settings it's really quiet. 8 ) |
