Title: Problems with blockchain
Post by: utente on November 18, 2016, 03:15:42 PM
Hello everybody!

I've got a problem in using blockchain wallet. Everytime that I close the browser even if it is not under incognito mode, I have to approve always the new login attempt even if my browser is trusted! It means that I receive an email whenever I try to access my blockchain wallet

I always use my default's browser morever without enabling the incognito mode. How do I fix this issue?

Best regards

I never used their new wallet but this was always the case for me with the old wallet, I was always receiving a new SMS to my phone for 2FA . I If you think It's a bug and you don't usually delete history, cookies & cache after using it or change your IP then you should contact support.

It happens i think when your browser is too loaded that it will automatically reload once you close and reopen it. It happens to me not only in blockchain but also in other sites tha requires me to input confirmation. Try to clear the cache like OmegaStar suggested. Try to close all other tabs and close the browser you are usin and then open and continue on blockhain.

Looks like a cookie problem. Either your browser's repeatedly clearing it's cache (do you have a program that does this?), Or its a bug. Not many people use blockchain.info nowadays...

this is not a bug nor a problem with his browser, OP is either using google chrome incognito mode without knowing or he has disabled the "allow cookies" option.
here:
Code:
chrome://settings/cookies

it is also possible that he may have a Dynamic IP which changes every time so he may need to change some settings.

If you maintain your browser open, you can relog without another 2FA from e-mail however if you close the browser and open again, you will need to authorize the login... Maybe something with cache/cookies and this things.

1. First clear your browser cookie (search to know how to clear it) or you can try using another browser.
2. Than again login your wallet with authorizing your browser.
3. Logout and than try to login again i think this is because there is some problem with cookies, other than this i don't think this is anything related to blockchain.info as i don't have that problem while using them.

It seems the problem is due to having the option "do not remember history" checked. Once closing the browser (and its all instance), browser will get cleared with browsing history, cookies and browser cache memory. It is simply equivalent to logging into new computer (or new browser) even with same IP address.

I have a same problem with you, i thought it just me facing this problem, i trully believe it's caused by ip dynamic who i used, i also heard that blockchain increase their security so when you login through new ip you must verify the email before in order to protect your wallet from hackers, as we can see blockchain.info spoof in google sponsored results, so this is obviously to protect your wallet from them.

i'm the person who didn't upgrade my old version blockchain wallet to the new one because i do like the old version rather than new version of blockchain wallet but currently it is automatically upgrade to the new version and looks like blockchain remove the previous version and your reason is true that because of dynamic IP blockchain will sent us email to authorization login attempt and i think those feature is good for protect our wallet and for OP i think you must keep those feature integrated with your wallet because it is will make your wallet more secure and do not trying to remove it

beside to clear your cookies, i think you should check your setting on your blockchain account because you said that every time you login, you receive an email so i think its related with your setting for login into you account. maybe you activated email verification in your setting area so you receive email verification in every time you trying to login in your account.

OP didn't provide enough information, but i am sure it has nothing to do with dynamic IP as it doesn't change every single minute(vpn, proxy?), maybe cookies(auto clear?) but most likely he was pressing this button on sign out:

I don't press this button and still have to re-authorize if I close the browser...

So it's something with the cookies, never checked if have any auto clear option enabled on settings, will check it.

I am experiencing this same problem too but I don't problem it too much for I am just approving it with my email.

The only thing is, I am pissed off of again and again confirmation to my email for accessing my blockchain wallet.

Not a good idea to mess with that. You shouldn't disable your email verification because It's there for your security.
Best thing to do would be try and check like the suggestions said about cookies/history/chrome settings.
If all these don't work, take the time to contact support. Better to check everything than compromise your security.

If you don't have dedicated IP then validating access to your wallet can become troublesome very fast.
Simple solution, if you have even slight shadow of doubt or some pesky problem is plaguing your peace then why do you insist on using Blockchain.info at all?
It is not like we have only 1 type of wallet available. You want fast, reliable and trusty piece of software try Multibit HD or Electrum instead.

My problem when use of the blockchain is must always log in using the new identifier, even though I use one computer but since I use the wifi of course ip addresses often change and must confirm in an email. This is certainly exhausting and for transactions that I often prefer the coinbase or xapo.

Absolutely same case for me.I have an online wallet at blockchain.info always need to new login attempt with my PC that connected modem.I have tried accessing my wallet, with my identifier like confirmed by email,Factor Authorisation(2FA code) following by message.Without the sms code i can't log in though i've believed it provides us a better security for an unusual login attempt.May be there have network problem that's why changed IP address in case need new login attempt but currently not sure about that.
