Title: How many of us are from IT industry ( I think most )
Post by: buysellbitcoin on April 06, 2013, 05:10:40 PM
It will be great to know how many of us are from IT background. I believe most of us are from IT background and IT people should be good target to spread awareness about bitcoins as they will be able to understand the concept of "virtual" currency :)

Cheers

seems like non IT folk catching up too, (doctors with high IQ), but what I learned it is kind of hard to grasp the whole p2p crypto thing for non IT people.

Dont ask engineer how TV works, he can explain ;)

any idea how i could legally?

Open Bitfloor account, Use their cash deposit method ( Powered by Local Till ) to fund in your account, buy bitcoins, transfer them to your cold wallet. Its all legal as long as you pay taxes in US wherever you are liable and in India ( Some of your income is liable for taxes in India too if your transaction involves services from Indian soil or touches INR )

Cheers

oh i already own some bitcoins.  i was merely asking if there was any legal way in which i could help people in india obtain them by selling them, and if so what kind of legal ramifications there would be.

any clarification on that would be helpful.  i do have a OCI card

SINCE you are in US u can accept paypal - yes there are a host of limitations and huge risk involved when it comes to dealing with paypal and credit cards.

You can accept bank payments / western union at gox rates + a certain % as commission and send coins to the buyer.
Start small then work ur way up.

Alternatively you could start a giveaway faucet and sustain through ads.

thanks for the input!

I don't mind the idea of selling through paypal, I can start small (.1-1btc), would 10%+ commission above mtgox market price at time of sell (according to payment time stamp) be fair (or a rip off, or a steal)?

where should I list that?
