There are many websites (exchange website) that have set their own bitcoin rates. You should tell them that bitcoins are similar to gold or any other investments like stock markets and since they are not considered illegal, it's great as an investment. Bitcoins were worth $300 in November 2015 and today the price is $739. It's the most volatile currency and a great one for traders.
