If I'm not wrong in most of the states gambling is banned, but many people use to bet in cricket illegal ways and those are not permitted by the government. If they manage to find these people everyone will be in trouble and only rich people will find a ways to escape and others need to face issues.

Do you think here in this industry are illegal too? To be compared to physical gambling game.

I guess the OP need  to know about this, if online gambling in your country is illegal.
Because aside from other Indian who posted here that it is not illegal. Maybe somebody can clarify what is the scope of illegality of gambling, especially those who are Indian native. I knew some Indian playing gambling online, they are my friends and they do not tell me that it is not legal to play and they are enjoying it because they are earning.

Correct, people used to play a lot of "SATTA" on cricket matches, especially when IPL takes place.
And californiaquail, who says that gambling is illegal in India? It gets done especially in Goa where you are free to do it, and there are many other states where you can gamble, it's just that those activities are done underground and none comes and attacks you for the same.
