Title: RX 470 ROG Strix OC 1250/1270 MHz 4GB Good for mining?
Post by: fiscorcle on November 24, 2016, 05:24:35 PM
Is the Asus RX 470 ROG Strix OC 4GB card any good for mining?
Was going to get a GIGABYTE Radeon R9 380X Windforce 980MHZ 4GB 5.7GHZ for the same price.

But the Asus doesn't have a back plate so would that make any difference if I get a good enough board to support it and fan system to compensate this

I'm new to mining (want to do ETH or to a lesser degree ZEC if it can hold until Nov 30th that is) and know that the version of card is more important then the actual mhz from what I have gathered so far. As many factors are involved when it comes to mining including how much power the card can maintain all day running 24/7.

Nobody mines ZEC on this card?

Nevermind someone already answered this question.
