Thank you so much. Escrow removes the need for trust in online shopping. Well, at least it removes the need to trust the seller :), and puts the trust on the escrow agent. Escrow is actually quite simple (forgive the programmer art): http://i47.tinypic.com/19l7v9.png Basically: 1. Bob has something Alice wants. 2. Alice transfers money to a trusted escrow agent. 3. Bob transfers the item to Alice. 4. The escrow agent releases the money to Bob.
