Title: Got a Spare Computer. need help
Post by: Hollie on June 14, 2011, 08:22:54 PM
i got a spare computer running Vista.

i gonna put Ubuntu 11.04 on it so it would run more better since it only has 512 RAM.

What do i need to do if i get ATI 6990 or ATI 5770 and start mining.

be careful video cards swap informatoin from main system memory instructions aren't written directly to it. it's rarely a good idea to have less system memory than video memory

A quality 600-650W psu (OCZ, Corsair, Antec Earthwatts) can handle a 5850. For crossfire 750W psu.
