I bought BTC from this company cubits.com (they are very good actually) Very good rates. But I had to ask them if my Skril can get banned by purchasing from them. Here is the reply:

Well so today we can make deposit on skrill use bitcoin with fees 1% and it is same with neteller, but it is just for making deposit money only still need other exchangers to buy bitcoins using skrill is like cubits.com and it is mean skrill support for bitcoins right now.

If they told you that there is no problem, then there should be no problem. A lot of exchangers take your business very seriously. For them to remain in this business they are bound to respect the rules of payment processors. I do not think they're going to risk their reputation lying to you.


I was very happy with this news. Last week was a real blow for me to transfer some bitcoins to my bank account. I searched for all available exchangers and found none. I had to use a laborious method.

I had to transfer my bitcoins to my neteller account and then to my skrill account, it was the only option I had.


Oh God. Neteller forbids using deposit bitcoin and shopping on the internet. They have now added my country to the group of restricted countries, a very sad situation for me. I ordered my other plastic card from the neteller and just when the card is about to arrive he gives me this sad news. Sincerely what will I do with the card ... :'(

Skrill just added option to deposit via bitcoin just like neteller have did few months ago. Skrill has been recently acquired by same company behind neteller so now both of them have option to deposit via bitcoin but they don't have withdraw to bitcoin feature.

It isw very good news that bitcoin is spreading on different payment services. I have Skrill account so I'm happy because of that but the fees look realy high. Hope they will change that in the future. Maybe with all this changes PayPal may consider their bitcoin policy too.

This must be a local thing,just logged onto my skrill and did not see a option which did not shock me. Seems Europe and Americans get a lot more options when it comes to neteller,paypal and skrill. Starting to think I should contact my relatives in Scotland to see if I can setup shop there as a secondary address.

Yes, maybe some countries have restrictions the site need to follow to work inside the legallity.

This is a good news. Many sites that don't accept BTCs, use Skrill as a payment system, now this can be the middle-man between the sites and our Bitcoins. I just think they shouldn't set high rewards for BTC transactions. We already pay many fees everywhere to make the money goes from one place to another place.

Over 5% was taking just for pay fees(EURO)? It means dollar pair was being preferred, just take below 4.5%. but overall it was being so high(fees).

It is because Skrill is Neteller now. It was bought for their rival company for €1.1 billion so no wonder both payment processor share their stance on cryptocurrency now.
You can use Skrill or Neteller to purchase bitcoin using exchanges (BitPanda) or dedicated wallet+exchange combos like CoinCorner.

This changes the game now for finding potential buyers.
Never heard of Coincorner or Cubits for that fact so I would think alot of people will be using those two sites now because as far as I know Bitpanda (Coinimal) is for Europeans only.

I guess this puts me out of the neteller exchange game. :-[

Don't ask from you bought or sold skrill. Contact skrill/neteller are they allowing exchanging btc to skrill through 3rd party.

Because in their TOS still written it's not allowed.

I am always confused as to why these sites always offer better service in the U.K and America and limit the use for Canadians. Always thought we had more lacks laws when it came to these things.
Forget which one of these sites it was but they sent me notice for inactivity and I logged into see the amount on there. Not much but there was little options to spend it in a manner that was worth while.
These sites got cracked down on with the poker scene and maybe Canada is still looking at them in that limelight and ignoring that other Countries are back to working with them. Only thing I can think of for the lack of options here.

Its a good thing for you guys even if the rates are initially high. It could create lower rates in other areas and force them to correct.

Is this just deposit or you are able to withdraw too ? I know neteller is pretty fucked up about btc even they "support" it. You can only deposit and you can only withdraw trough bank transfer with some large fee. Hope skrill is going to do something better

I means he used 3rd party for trade skrill. If he ask that site why they will ever say it's risky to trade through them.

Skrill/Neteller has good support in twitter so better ask them there.

Skrill doesn't allow this feature directly and as of now you can only convert your btc to skrill and neteller by paying 1% fee but like Payza has a 2% withdrawal fee via BTC, Skrill still doesn't have that option. It is not even as good as PayPal as they charge $5 for withdrawing to the bank and their third-party exchanges are not worth trying with extremely high fee.


PS: I noticed they increased the neteller uploading fee. I remember it was 1% and now it's 3.

Yeah, still not possible to cashout from Skrill or Neteller directly to BTC but rather via a 3rd party. I haven't found a good way to cashout either to bitcoin so I'd just rather cashout to bank account first. Skrill is now accepting bitcoin deposits because Neteller acquired Skrill. Neteller has had this option for quite a while. The increase in neteller fees was a little surprise though. I would have preferred the 1% fee, obviously :P Their fiat cashout fees are quite high also.

Just patiently waiting for some more options to buy/sell bitcoins easy. I'm sure something will pop up in the near future.

Don't accept yet? Ah, so nothing changed... Using third party it's possible to move money to any payment system site, even PayPal. Skrill could do a big step accepting BTC, but they are going same way the others. It would be surely a great news for BTC, but no problem. It's possible to use their service with third party services. I think the only difference would be lower fees, if BTC was accepted officially by them (or not).

That is amazing news , that way it would be like gyft where the usage rate of bitcoin would go through the roof.
I think the more places you can spend bitcoin the more bitcoin users we can have. That is amazing for us bitcoin hoarders :D

hah the local exchange I'm using (ecb.rs) is taking 5% fee if you're unregistered and 4% if you are. I've had skrill account and their credit card and lemme tell you, fees are high as hell, not rly worth it.

I think there is a awesome site or service bitpay and using that most of the sites are happily accepting bitcoins. I think it would just take a little time for skrill to accept bitcoins, until then visit the localbitcoins and if you don't like localbitcoins deals then try the exchange section here at our forum : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0

Damn I have uploaded more than 2000$ via bitcoins to my neteller accounts, yes accounts because I cannot verify my identity so I make different account every time I reach the limit, hehe easy and safe for me. I was loving that feature and really it was like 2 weeks ago when I deposited last, unhappy the fees is increased.

paypal should also allow deposit through bitcoin, as other payment processors allowing.

OP : Actually you solved a big problem of mine. I was trading with a user on localbitcoins named " carlacosta" and he/she was charging me like 15-20% fees I guess and now I am really glad you gave me this site.
Well, there are uses who give me skrill at 1-2% fees on localbtcoins but I prefer highly trusted ones due to reversible nature of skrill.

It may happen at any time, they are already partnering with coinbase for this reason.

Actually skrill allows BTC deposits indirectly, let me explain you. You can open a neteller account and deposit with bitcoins there ( they take just 1% fees ) then then you can upload from neteller to skrill ( the fees is 3% ) so actually you get BTC to skrill at just 4% fees.

You can now directly deposit money via btc into your skrill account. The fee is just 1%:

I have been using skrill for years and gets email every time they add some new feature or merchants to their service.
I didn't get any email in this regard but now I will ask their support if it is true and post their reply here

But it is confirmed by many members here that Skrill has added new functionality to accept bitcoin deposits with some third party collaboration. I guess you need to check your mail's spam folder. Some time it may happen like only some specific emails (even it is from trusted sender) to get marked as spam.

Paypal need to hurry up and get on that.  I like neteller but would much prefer to go via paypal tbh.  Would be nice to see the 1% fee down to 0.5% or something.  Maybe for bigger deposits they could lower the %.

I was not seeing this option and just checked now. It is really true, a dream come true to me as no need anymore to use the fees of Bitpanda which are clearly higher to receive the money in Skrill. I can upload directly now.

However I have one question, can I withdraw directly to my bank account after upload through bitcoin , the USD or EUR in my case as I am in EU?

Can we use the deposited Bitcoins on websites that accept Skrill payments? And does Skrill offer a virtual debit card like Neteller does? I am looking for a cheaper way to purchase fiat goods with Bitcoin and also withdraw to my bank account with less fees.

That's very sad to know. I can do this via Bitpanda for about 4% fee which is the same and I don't have to use to payment processors, I can only use Skrill and Bitpanda which I am already doing.

Still it's a good thing, a very good one that Skrill started accepting bitcoin directly.

That is a great news that the usage of bitcoin is spreading over the market and everyone is going to be convinced to use bitcoin. I have some funds in skrill but I do not know that how to transfer them to skrill because I do not have spend much time with skrill but only got a payment from a company for completing a task for it and from that time they are at there.

I cant find any news Skrill allows bitcoin.also dont get any message from Skrill that they accept bitcoin.I think its their own message there are many exchange website they accept bitcoin that does not mean Skrill allows bitcoin.I checked my Skrill wallet there have no option to deposit and withdraw via Skrill.

From what I know Skrill does not directly accept bitcoin. What that email you received means is that Skrill does not mind someone purchasing funds through bitcoin from third party sources.

OK, Skrill accepts BTC in some countries, but who will want to use it with a 1% free?
Bank transfers are without any fee, so they remain the best option.

They still don't accept btc withdraw, but in the future could do this, to avoid some issues about laws.

Well, for use Skrill, I think there has a high fee. but, if they start accepting bitcoin, I think it is very good news. but, I think they'll give you a high fee even though they accept bitcoin. but now I also have not seen the news that Skrill accept bitcoin  :(.

Skrill has indeed high fees, but I don't think many people will be bothered by that since it's nothing more than an alternative way of buying Bitcoin.

In some cases people end up buying coins at a fee of around 5-10% due to the fact that they haven't got any other option than this.

Just to be clear, Skrill itself doesn't accept Bitcoin. Skrill just seems to have a friendly policy towards crypto in general which of course is a nice change for once.

You can only deposit BTC into your skrill account. You can't withdraw money from your skrill account in the form of bitcoin. It's quite typical really. Everyone is happy to take BTC because it is an irreversible payment method but few will give you BTC in exchange for your dollars.
