Post by: Charloz24 on November 30, 2016, 11:21:51 PM
Anyone did it? Does it help for mining ZEC or ETH?

TIA

Should not result in any improvement, A 390 is just a 290 bundled with 8GB of RAM.

It made a different for ETH. But was more related to power consumption rather than speed. Bios was similar to Stilt actually.

Here is the thread with instructions

Do 390 mine ZEC near 300 sols/s? Because the max I have with 290 right now is 245 sols/s.

No with a undervolt it should crash with a OC like that.

Not quite - the ram was also faster (1500 vs 1250 clock).
I think the R9 390 also implimented the "boost clock" stuff in BIOS but not sure on that.

 I'm not sure if the R9 390 added PCI-E 3.0 compatability.
