Title: Where is the STEEM Community hanging out?
Post by: bitone on December 01, 2016, 08:38:43 AM
I could not find channels where the STEEM Community is gathering.

- Slack http://steem.herokuapp.com closed
- Bitcointalk Threads inactive
- Telegram Chat not available
- Reddit Subs inactive

When I look at http://steemtools.com they seem to be very active. So where are they dicussing stuff related to STEEM?

Thanks for hints!

lol.

Steem itself is a communication channel. Why would they need anything else, to communicate and hang on, then their own invention?  If it is not good for Steem community, then which other community will use it and why?

They should try to get as many other communities to join Steemit platform. LetsTalkBitcoin had good ideas with tokens that gave you access to part of their forum.

Weren't you a Moanero diehard? You have @smooth envy?

I dont like getting fixed amount pay for my signature. Getting an altcoin is like gambling in a casino. I am an gambler I guess.   I advertised ICONOMI a month ago and got quite nice pay for it :P  I will be more then happy if this time will be 10 times less.  Selling signature for BTC is boring pennies.
The link you posted shows that crowd sale will not be successful and there will be no pay for my advertisement?  Well if I did bad job, why should I be paid after all :P
Oh and participating in this campaign dont give you any rules where and how much to post, what suit me perfectly.

About Monero. When i got to this forum, Monero was launched for a month and its community, helped me to understand Cryptocurencies.  At that time i knew it will drastically help other crypto to change the world.

It isn't surprising to see interest in steem decreasing, with the price going for a toss.
Few altcoins have a fanatical following which will stay together even when the value of their holdings gets decimated.

True.  I had been involved with many alternates since 2014 and the ranks get decimated when the price doesn't increase 10x by the first Christmas - worse yet, people leave in droves if the price declines.

Crypto is full of fair-weather friends.  These same people will come back, and whine a little, if the project eventually recovers or goes to the moon..

Even at $2.4 - I doubt there were any 2 humans within shouting distance who knew about Steem.

Everyone is too easily impressed when they see a meetup photo with women involved, without realizing "girlfriends" (often against their will) have been dragged to DorkFests since time immemorial.
