Bitcoin Legal by Default in Russia, Confirms New Federal Tax Document

A document by the federal tax authority in Russia has revealed its first official stance on the legal status of cryptocurrencies and it makes for good reading for adopters of bitcoin and other digital countries in the Russian federation.

Russia has been acting funny all year, first they ban bitcoin then they removed the ban, only to ban it again and now they've removed the ban.
Weird!

Bitcoin in Russia is not exactly legal (maybe it will, but not now.) But Russian Tax Service treats bitcoin as a foreign currency.

The Russian government plans to discuss the legislative status of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies further on December 15, 2016.

At first I was thinking the very same, but can't it be that the larger news sites simply are spreading misinformation to discourage Bitcoin usage? It can't be that Russia one day seems to be very Bitcoin friendly, and the other day they seem to put all kinds of restrictions in action to prevent people and businesses from using it. Other than that, I think it's fairly safe to assume that people shouldn't take these kind of articles for granted. Plenty of other news sites are basically making up things just to make an article look a bit different from the original, so they can post it on their site with plenty of ads around it. Quality isn't the top priority anymore. Right now quantity is the most important aspect for them as they can clutter their entire site with annoying ads.
