Title: Can tell me what difference in using Paxful and Localbitcoin
Post by: fiscorcle on December 02, 2016, 02:50:00 AM
I want to use my payment method to use there services but don't know what the real difference their is in using these websites.
Can anyone explain to me what those would be?
I would be using paypal or payoneer or something like those to pay for the bitcoins.

Not really. :-\
If you need to register for an account then you don't use your own real credentials then they can close your account, just like paypal can do that too.
He should of explained that important point too. ::)

No thanks Wildkens.
I would rather use one of these companies to do these transactions for me.
Thanks for the offer. ;)

Put aleast they offer escrow services while here you have to go find your own and most of the ones that are free are not really trusted at all for amounts over 1.5btc. Atleast I wouldn't trust them with my exchange for that amount of coin on the line. Didn't a legendary with alot of dark green just jack some one of that amount here in this exchange thread just a few days ago?
What happened to his btc? Nothing! He lost it all. :-[

Hmm.. let me think about that and get back to you on that because the way I look at your selling thread the rates you as for are quite high.

But I think those sites have people who charge less than what you are asking for to sell to us.

Aside general difference mentioned above I might as well state my personal experiences... I have been a btc trader for a while on both websites with over 50btc transacted in lbc. Paxful is extremely unprofessional compared. The support managed to exploit a small loophole to close my account and steal my funds after I posted some thread promoting sales here on bitcointalk. The matter is a tad more intricate but the general impression is the following: lbc may be a bit more expensive, but it's nevertheless extremely professional and functional.

Localbitcoin is alot more well known and has a wider customer base than paxful does.
As you can see on this forum people use their profiles here to get a trade done based on their trust ratings and number of btc transacted so you would be better off using them as a trading/exchanging platform than paxful.
Plus I think their ceo was in a bit of hot water for drugs or something so would you trust a company who's ceo is using the money they make off of you for their own drug use? I would think not.

Localbitcoins is used by a lot of people and has good marwt grip over paxful . Personally I have never used paxful and have been using localbitcoins for years. Posting a trade in lbtc is bit more intricate.

So you are saying that one is influenced by the other?
Alot of people in LBC has a good market grip in paxful is what you are saying?
Clarify please since you are a lbc user with some experience in that environment.

paxful honestly it is just new to me which is low repuation.. so in my own opinion it is good to choose local bitcoin since they are just the same like other said localbitcoin is old site which already have a good reputation here in our forum and other people and i think it is more people are using in local bitcoin  than paxful.

I would agree with you to do this instead of using a relatively new service for something so hard to trade with in the first place.
Being around for a longer time does show it's reliability in a service.
