My grandmother just handed me the newspaper and told me to take a look at this:

Looks pretty biased, but I'll be honest I didn't even finish reading.  Thoughts?

The question is not "Could", the question is "When".

Everyone is in doubt, cautious, full of fear=no over-exuberance=probably no crash yet.

It is weird, why that newspaper didn't suggest your grandmother to invest in bitcoin when it was 5$ but today they have the arrogance to speak about fear and crash?  ::)

But the fact your grandmother gave you the info shows how far bitcoins have come in the last few months  ;)

Because he told her about it and she saw it in the paper. Not like she saw it and randomly said hey sonny boy, look at this. Hehe

I'd listen too if my grandson/daughter was risking X amount of money on some weird gobbledegook fancysmancy newfangled internet money.

The other day I told my Grandmother a package arrived for her. She said, "terrific, that must be my Silk Road order," and quietly shuffled to her room.

The article is not as bad as the headline suggests. It is a typical "The story of the mysterious, lucrative, and perhaps illegal currency called Bitcoin" article.

agreed! its at 5 bucks .... under the radar.....when its maken money lets dis the shit out of it!

media ran by government entitys will not like bitcoins one bit. they will spread fear and hate and speculate negatively and say its all a scam seam or give half truths, leave out important facts/info or outright lie!

in the end it will scare the general population that just sits and reads the news and lives in fear and they wont buy. intelligent people will do there research, find out its an amazing tool, and make a good deal of money.

Look at my calculations and tell me if i did something wrong.

There will be 21 millions bitcoins.
There is around 6 billion people in the world currently.
That means for every human there is 0.0035 bitcoin if we would like to share it equally.
Now we can assume, we are going to value it $1 for a start. That gives bitcoin minimum value of $285 per bitcoin (1/0.0035).
But if we would measure everyones average worth in bitcoins that would be much much higher. So from my calculations bitcoin is still underpriced.

Ofcourse not everybody ever will have theyr bitcoin but there are people who already holds alot of them. 1 000 of bitcoins = 285 000 people who could have their 0.0035 bitcoin.
I am not trying to calculate real bitcoin price because its almost impossible and i didnt factored other things we can do with bitcoin like transfer money etc. But you see how mych bitcoin could be worth (or is worth already).

It's obvious that we can't maintain the speed we're going at the moment. Sooner or later we're going to head back down, but I really don't see it being a harsh drop like everyone is making it out to be.

It's anyone's guess though. Lets just hope people decide to stick on board, and realise that Bitcoin has much more potential than $200, or even $500. It's worth holding onto :)

In the time since reading all this crapola from various sources about an imminent crash, BTC has grown from 100 to 190 USD, I think I'll let my bank account do the talking :)

HAHAH that is like how people talked about the internet back in 1993. This mysterious place were hackers met on 'mysterious websites' that have strange codes like "http://www.website.com" to identify the website. They didn't know if it was pronounced E-mail or ehmail, but it was strange it probably would only be used by computer supergeniuses and sex addicts looking for kink and bondage.

Lol, bitcoin price can do whatever.  I just multiply my BTC by trading options on CoinBr (https://coinbr.com/ref?c=294TNRz1oP).

The price will be volatile...  so focus on creating more btc without having to buy them.  :D
