Title: how do you double spend a electrum wallet? Post by: tabbycat on December 02, 2016, 05:52:38 PM Hello i got two bitcoin transactions not confirming and i want to know the best way to double spend it so i can cancel it and redo the fees. any tutorials ? I checked the forums and im a bit confused with all these programs or whatever i have to use.
Title: Re: how do you double spend a electrum wallet? Post by: pooya87 on December 03, 2016, 05:09:08 AM There are no easy ways to double spend using Electrum because it doesn't allow you to drop a transaction or even make a new transaction with the same inputs.
You have two options AFAIK: 1. Wait for the transaction to either confirm or drop out of mempool so you can spend it again. 2. Make a new raw transaction outside Electrum and sign it with Electrum but then I think you will have trouble broadcasting it because Electrum possibly won't allow it and explorers like blockchain.info may also not allow pushing a double spend. |
