Read Recovering hacked accounts or accounts with lost passwords (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0).
It looks like the email of that account was changed in the last 30 days.

At the very least click the "Report to Admin" link at the lower left and ask them nicely to confirm the message is not faked here.

Its kind of a bad look when you venture into Meta and see more hacked account issues than any other topic.
Maybe we should have so form of containment so that the requests are in a neat fashion to access and to keep the optics down on appearing like every other account is being hacked.
Realize the issue is a serious issue for the members that have had it done to them and I am not looking to downplay the issue in any sense, just looking for a better way of dealing with the issue for both sides.

I was sending this message via pm but I did not get a respond. Can anyone help me

If your miner is not performing normal, then try this first:

1. use original latest firmware from KNC
2. open your terminal and connect with ssh
3. go to advanced tab an set all values to the lowest, everywhere. Volt: "-0.1465" and MHz: "400"
4. then click "apply" and as fast on the mining tab
5. go to the terminal an type: ps
you will see this line in the upper part of the list:
   "waas -c /config/advanced.conf"
repeat the ps command after 30 to 40 seconds, when this line is away from the list
type this command: screen -r  (with ctrl a and d you can exit it)

If you see lines like: "KNC: accepted by FPGA 4 works but only 0 submitted" then quit your miner

6. Go to the system tab and klick on reboot

Let the system time to come up and wait for 2 Minutes when it is up, befor do anything

7. SSH again
8. open web frontend tab: Status and wait until you see the temperature on the right side
9. SSH: check with ps if there is no command waas and also if there is:
    {screen} SCREEN -S cgminer -t cgminer -m -d /usr/bin/cgminer --api-listen -c /config/cgminer.conf
If yes
10. SSH: screen -r   and check the performance
11. now open the tab: Advanced and if nearly all values from the stats are the same, then make little steps
max. 3 lines up on all values. And now got to step 4.

Also check the HW errors, after every 4-11 step reset the stats inside your cgminer: D then Z then Enter.

If your machine is now performing good, leave the fingers from it, check that you have an backup pool and
during increasing your values be very carefuly.
Do not increase any thing if the Asic Temp is 70'C or DC/DC is bigger then 95'C.

12. If you are finished with your settings, reboot the hole system after one hour and check a last time if you have not
so much HW-errors, if the temperature is inside an good range and the at last have a look to the performace.

If it helps: 1LQVkJKoZz8uYsnPuYaLU7HE5tGbQaBQFJ
thanks for the tips

Sometimes  2 weeks, sometimes anywhere between few months to a year,it all depends on how badly you want it.Keep sending a PM to an admin maybe once every month to remind them about your account. That's all you can do anyway.

I'm waiting now 4 month. What now?
there's still the 0.04 btc option lol

Mate I'd suggest to resume operation with this current account. You can use this for whatever you can use that one too.

Either just keep posting on this account, or send a message to Cyrus.

There is nothing else you can do.

You could pay the 0.04 BTC but it is likely you are dealing with your hacker. Also he is not online anymore, I doubt you'll find success there.

Letyouearn or someone else I believe spent like a year on recovering his account, by the time he recovered it the account he posted on "letyouearn2" was already a senior member... This seems like the case with you as well.

Where is the problem? Why give the admins the account not back?
What else is necessary? Are there only 2 admins which can give the account back?

wow, almost 2 years still no reply from theymos or cyrus. This is too bad, unacceptable IMO. I can understand they're busy working on the background looking for improving the site.. Funny is that we're being hijacked everyday since ~24 months.. so why bothering working on superficial tasks if they cannot handle the security nor manage their PM inbox? if they dislike verifying the signed messages that proves the account ownership of the victims, then they should delegate it to some Moderator or appoint a provisional Admin to perform this job. Today this is a major concern therein should be priority Nro.1 !!.

This kind of negligence / laxity shouldn't be unnoticed, is the lack lack of predisposition and bad attitude that makes me sick. Just wondering how long it takes to verify a signature then return the account to their original owner? I guess no more than 3-5 minutes, probably less if they automate it. So why they don't do anything about it?.

I'm sensitive about it because I have also been hacked recently, sadly nothing changed since. Even several users came up with interesting solutions / proposals but they ignore them all, they don't care because they don't look after us. Anyone would imagine they are associated with the hacker who steal our accounts for profit.

How can we be sure that it is you who has now the account and not the hacker anymore? Good thing that it gets back to you for a very long time.

If this is the time span of recovering hacked account will this be the longest time in record?

it's him, based on the proof of ownership he posted and the recovery history from seclog.
Code:

February 07, 2019, 01:25:01 PM - fubly - manual recovery, previously-queued ownership change completed

I think there are some people who even gave up recovering their accounts back then, it was painfully slow but ever since the introduction of the new format of account recovery last December, the recovery process now takes around 7 days so long as you have enough evidence to prove ownership of the account.
