Hello everybody, recently I started with research into different Ponzi schemes, doublers, hyips and also joined few communities and groups on facebook, as I could see a lot of people were selling some thebillioncoin, I heard about it but nothing more, I couldn't find it on any exchange...
Later I found tbc official website and read all information about the coin. They were saying that the price can go only up, that's definitely some sign of ponzi scheme for me, or some scam... I have read a lot of threads and posts about tbc and figured out that it doesn't have good reputation between members of btctalk... But I wanted to try it on my own, I managed to buy 60 Tbc for 0.2$ each from peer to peer seller, I received it on my browser wallet which is btw hilarious :D And then I tried to sell it, the official price was about 120$ per 1 tbc but to sell it for this price is impossible  :D You put your sell order on the tbc official exchange and when the price goes up your order is simply deleted and tbc is refunded back, some users were saying that you have to be between first orders, so I tried it next day and I was between first sellers who put order but order was deleted again...

As I said before a lot of people in facebook groups are trying to sell this coin because they were persuaded by scammy sellers who were persuaded by another sellers to buy tbc and later sell it for more, but there is no way to sell it... These people are mainly from poor countries like Nigeria, Philippines they bought this coin and now need money and they are suffering because of it... Later I joined some groups focused only on tbc, and a lot of people believe there that they will become millionaires and have false hope, The developers are taking all the money from buy orders on the exchange in my opinion and they will do it forever... If they will open exchange and allow selling the tbc there will be created massive sell wall, a few days ago it was around 12 000 BTC! I tried to sell it also peer to peer like how I bought it but, I was only scammed of 2.5 tbc (and lot of people were scammed too trying to sell their tbc which they bought for 100$+)  :(  The majority of people who are buying tbc nowadays, have no experience in cryptocurrency world and they believe it will be next bitcoin, I tried to explain it to some of these people but they are stubborn, nobody want to hear bad news about project where he has invested some money hmm? :D So I was thinking about making some video about tbc, ponzi schemes, and reasons why people should not buy it, but I'm only 18 and my English isn't good enough for this... The best thing will be if somebody with bigger experience in crypto creates a video about this... People from Nigeria earn 60$ per month, and then they are scammed by something like this because of lack of information?! This isn't right! What do you think?

This is clearly a scam, no legitimate coin makes this kind of promises.
This is no different from OneCoin, and I don't get why people don't run away when they see a red flag like this.

I read so many negative articles and post about the billion coin ,but not from one with actual holders and buyers,I'm sorry that you lost money in that scam coin but it is because people keeps believing on what people are feeding them,without doing research on what this scam coin's functions are..

It's interesting how people get desperate when Bitcoin is about to take off, and they create all kinds of scams to pick up more Bitcoins. Even worse they take advantage of the desperation that other people have of getting rich quick.
This does not exist, and the best chance for them is to stick with Bitcoin, at that point everyone should be aware of it.

People really wants a big money without putting some work. Here in PH especially in crypto groups, TBC is widely known and many people selling their TBC with a promise that this kind of shit will make people billionaire soon. Take note of the word "billionaire". Of course because people wants a shortcut to success so they will enter the trap and will accept that words as a wisdom and the answer for all their money problem.

Do they really think it's easy as they think? Bitcoin with lots of developments and suppport by the community reached around $1000 as it's ATH and they are hoping for TBC to became worth billion someday. What a pathetic thinking they have. The winners here are the DEVS.

hmm, lot of people use this argument yes, but in my opinion you can't just compare bitcoin - the one of the first cryptocurrencies with blockchain, wallets, mining, plan, application and exchange with some tbc created in few hours by bunch of people who wanted to get rich, this coin is centralized and manipulated by developers....

They only had internal exchange,and facebook group exchange,but  it's impossible for this coin to get into popular crypto currency exchange like Poloniex,it will imediately turn down,because of the absemce of block explorer and source code,that why people need to hype this coin so they can dispose their stakes.

It breaks my heart to see people getting scammed and scammers stealing their hard earned money and running away. Interestingly, the whole cycle just keeps repeating itself and I wonder when it will end. Onecoin, TBS..and the list goes on. I suggest everyone to encourage new people in Crypto currencies to learn and understand the basics of bitcoin and the reason as to why bitcoin gained this much value, it is impossible for shitty scam coins to beat bitcoin. You are right. Poloniex and other well established exchanges will not accept to list scam coins like TBC and onecoin. At least a coin should a block explorer and a source code. Else it is not even a coin!

LOL I am living in the same country which has many people investing their money in TBC. This is fucking insane and I can not accept this. The billion coin is obviously a scam coin and there is no source code or algorithm. No block about it. The lack of knowledge has made many people deposit their money to buy these stupid coin

It happens because of Tbc admins promise of coming exchange where they can freely exchange their useless TBC coin,meanwhile their leaders and whales keeps bragging that their TBC is now worth thousands of dollars,even surpassing Bitcoin's value.

I think I need to voice my opinion as well on this The Billion Coin because this is something I see on a daily basis even outside the forum as it is rampant but what surprises me is the fact that people just sell at arbitrary prices as I only see people who wants to sell not one person I have seen that has indicated an interest to buy, Until I come across this thread that I am actually not the only one having that reservations concerning the coin.

Meanwhile Kobocoin (KOBO), now battle hardened after two years in the industry, a proper crypto built specifically for mobile phone usage in Sub-Saharan Africa (and it's a green X15 PoS currency) goes completely ignored. People seem to run miles just to get scammed by TBC. I'll never understand it.

it's impossible to stop, new coins can always be released if not here on other forum, they are good i think for testing just don't fall for the blatant scam out there, avoid ico and coins with no active dev and bad front presentation, also look at the specs they cna tell you many things, if a coin is done for scamming only or not

Worse, the TBC people just turned this basically into a centralized coin by removing the web wallet from their blockchain site. Now they hold the private keys to everyone's TBC coins and said they would even freeze them if they felt you were moving to many.


Anyway, I made a copy of the javascript for their wallet, it is a fork of the Rushwallet code. I put a copy of the wallet up here to help keep it decentralized.  I had to make some changes to the API calls as some of the old ones disappeared. Here is the current working wallet:

Sometimes it wont work due to tbc001.net doing some update. I think it is downloading the blockchain from some other site on a regular basis. If that happens just wait about 10 minutes and try again.  ???

The opener forgot the number one rule of investing, don’t invest in something you have no idea how it works, because if don’t know how something works then how are you going to be able to tell if something is a scam or not.

You do nothing about it, you right TBC is certified as one of the scam coins just like onecoin. I think the people behind in Onecoin is only same in TBC, because they're speakers are good in hype, that's why many community had been victimized by it. The better thing you do is stay away from it.

I think the best way to at least slow down the spreading is to create a short informative video as I mentioned before - just basic facts about ponzi schemes, no real value for investors etc...  in a way that normal people can understand and stay away from it... This coin is still alive and quite popular at facebook groups, if you have time maybe you can check it for yourself. Those people are blinded by the promises of this coin but still they're willing to take the risk not knowing that they're manipulated by the creator. This crap coin will surely surpass bitcoin that's what they said, just laughed.

Actually im really got pissed of when i saw those promotion on my timeline and seeing that people do really loves to buy or sell/engage with tbc and you are right they are just been blinded and dont know whats the truth behind that coin.Owners of TBC is just accumulating bitcoin from its buyers which is really insane.

Correct most of the billion coins victim was not a bitcointalk community, majority are out of in this industry. That's why many in the outside world are so much easy for them to manipulate the mind of a people unlike in this industry they will recognize and notify it quickly.

Another thing - they are not improving or working on that project... I have been using tbc wallet for a while and I can say that their server went down every 5 minutes
- It's a big lie that tbc value goes always up - this is only possible with unlimited number of buyers willing to buy that coin at still higher price = basically ponzi scheme with no real goal to the future , price must be determined by market supply and demand then the price is healthy and stable

The facts here is not about the demand and supply of this coin in the future as we can see that there is only 1 billion coins of circulation inside TBC community and there is morethan 7 billions of people who can locks its price in the future. Yep this is true this coin is nowhere to be found in the market. Luckily i wasn't deceived by those individuals who tries to sell it to me also in the social networking site called facebook. I think this scam coin all started in facebook especially those TBC groups that is spreading lies to the people.

You really did such a wrong decision by investing in TBC, I heard it several times but I never intend to join in because it was really a ponzi scheme. Why dont we see it ourselves? If Bitcoin was introduced to me way back when it just started I might think the same way, might be a scam. We never know what will happen. As what I noticed, when information or forums spread that this thing and that thing is a scam, it immediately stops. Just like those bitcoin faucets and pseudo-miners.

I don't know why but I think they buy TBC for the purpose to sell it with another person. If you try to search in other forum there are some looking for tbc with a higher price that's why they buy TBC just like me.

Some TBC members tried to get it listed on CCEX. Unfortunately, it didn't get enough votes to make the cut. Some members wish it to get on any regular exchange but it's odd that there's a large number of them though who're against it. I just pity those who bought it at such an astonishing price! Stopping it will only spark more curiosity to more individuals. Just like the bitcoin, it started from nothing and having no value at first but due to community support and people are willing to pay to own it until it reach $1300  per piece. The best way to stop or to discourage people to support it is by through education.Much better if you offer a better option.

Im into TBC for a months now, my friends invited me to join in this coin. Some says there will be a TBC EXCHANGER SOON and Merchants Soon. Other countries already accepting tbc in exchange of goods, gadgets. Many people already invested in coins and for me I beleive it has a future ahead. Just like bitcoin it took years to be recognize in the social media, so TBC will be for sure be on top just like bitcoin. You still haven't read scam accusations against it? And it's not even in the coinmarketcap, this coin is not really created as a crypto currency. This is created for being ponzi scam and they are deceiving their investors that as it gets longer, the price of TBC is going to become higher. Because they are fooling those investors and keeps on saying there's no inflation.

It will end when no one's interested to buy any more. there is too many promotion with this coin in social media. The price increase daily and the price now is exactly what you said around 5btc each at thier calculator I don't know how they calculate it.  but you can still buy $0.04 each  which is funny  ;D. Someone said in a chat that it costs 100$ to be able to sell on the billioncoin exchange. Even then , after duping the duped they can only sell a small amount at the best. Not sure if selling can happen even then. I guess they give out a little to keep the ponzi going.

This scam coin have own trading site but it will not be listed anywhere. This is a scam coin. None interested to listed the coin on the reliable exchange site. This just destroy his reputation.

I agree that if we can stop it, better do it, but that is not an ultimate priority. If some people are stupid enough to buy that, then I think they merit it. It is some sort of natural selection. I mean, I do not want to be naughty or what, but we can not be mother of anyone, and if people do not exerce due dilligence, then we can nothing for them.
