Title: Litecoin or Ripple: To the point questions
Post by: rizabbasi on December 05, 2016, 11:29:58 AM
Hi,

After bit research I have narrowed down selection to two prospective currencies for mining:

1) Litecoin
2) Ripple

Note: Didn't consider Ethereum due to its plan to shift on PoS.

I have couple of questions, hope to have insight from your experiences and study:

1) Which one would be better among Litecoin (LTC) an Ripple (XRP). Please state 'why' in couple of lines.

2) Can I convert LTC and XRP into USD (or other major currencies).

3) Do I need to have LTCs and XRPs in advance before mining. If yes, then how much value would I need to have?

4) There is big difference in LTC (3.57USD) and XRP (0.0064USD). How do you see this difference especially while considering XRP over the LTC.

5) Is it possible to mine LTC and XRP with CPU/GPU or ASIC/exclusive hardware would be required.

Would be really grateful for your valuable feedback.

Regards,

Riz

You can't mine ripple. I guess that's why you say "After bit research". Single bit currently zero.

Litecoin - Ripple is centralised.
It's essentially Ecoin from Mr Robot.

Also majority of Ripple trading vol is false (reported majority from Ripple's private exchange).

you need to do a shit ton more research than you have already. like others have said you can't mine ripple. the difference in prices is because of the different number of units. if you haven't got that figured out yet then you shouldn't be going anywhere near crypto until you know more.

Litecoin is the best alt to choose overall so stick with that.

Why not invest in both? Each has stood the test of time. Buy an A4 ASIC for $2k to min LTC and buy $2k worth of XRP. Philosophically, I chose LTC as Xrp has big banking investors.

I thought Ripple is premine, these two are more stable coins havin gin the top 5 list in coinmarketcap but in my opinion Ripple is a good choice compare to Litecoin because of the team behind it,but since you are looking for a mineable coin why not look for the other coins that you can mine cpu or gpu ..

Ripple is better than Litecoin because of the development Ripple is a premine coin you can convert litecoin to bitcoin and ripple to bitcoin and it's all up to the exchange wheere you trade this coin if they had an option to trade in dollar,I prefer Ripple to Litecoin because of it's potential ,litecoin  has been turning into an hype coin
