So you admit you planted a "coinstealer" back boor in the initial wallet? It is a bad start, don't try to scam people, your coin dooms.

No, definitly not.
The thing is that there is no Coinstealer in Source.
Feel free to check the Source Code, if you find something conspicuous pls report it to me I will fix it asap.
But there is no conspicuous in Source.

The thing is that this is definitly a bug, because if i had made the Wallet, I directly uploaded it to Virustotal, it shows no Viruses.
After 24 hours Kaspersky reports Coinstealer, and if there would be a Coinstealer, I'm sure other antiviruses will detect it 100%, because they use same crypto functions to detect viruses.

So i'm very sure that this is a false positive, don't be afraid.
If you want I can compile a new Wallet and you will see that there is no Coinstealer in it, just Kaspersky marks it as Coinstealer some days later.

So this would be a false positive, which was already reported to Kaspersky to check it.

Ok I got some news with about this #OfficialIssue.
I have contacted Kaspersky technical Support in Order to check, because we are Sure it is a false positive.

They checked Globaltoken and confirmed that there is no Coinstealer in it.
It is an Bug from Antivirus Programs, which detects it as Coinstealer, because most of them uses "Fingerprints" for Viruscheck e.g. Coinstealer is known to read Wallet.dat data, so each Program which has Same Fingerprints for reading Data from wallet.dat was marked as Coinstealer.

So guys no Panic, there is no Coinstealer in it.
You can check it again, there never was and is a Coinstealer in it!
Everyone who don't trust can check it, and can check source, that no Coinstealer is Included...

No, buddy we are fine, the Coin is not dead yet ;D
We tried to add Globaltoken for Yobit but doesn't seems that they add it for Free, min. Payment fee they require to add Coins for Exchange within 5 - 7 days is 0.1 BTC, which we don't have currently :(

If we have it and if we have more budget we will invest it first in much Exchanges as possible.

The Pool had some Downtime in the Past, we have to reconfigure some Backend Settings so it should be some hours Downtime of Mining if we need to reboot the Mining Server.

But, it's not dead yet.
We have so much to do with developing other Stuff, that there is not much time, and not really necessary to improve Globaltoken at the moment.

We have no known bugs, no requested Features and we will try to get some Exchanges first before we will continue development.
Because for now, there are not many users, we will think it will change if there's an Exchange.

It could take some time until we have these fee to pay for an Exchange, sometimes we invest from ourself into the Coin, but currently we have not much budget for this.

So if you have some ideas feel free to tell them to us :)

We try our best to improve Globaltoken, but as I said currently we have nothing to develope with this Coin because there are not many users / Bugs / Feature request and so on.

When I sign up on the site it does not do anything, I entered a valid wallet key and email account.
I'm not getting any verification email and when I press the button it looks like it just refreshes the website (same page only with empty fields).

Faucet Owner is there too.

But as far as I know you just enter your Emailaddress, password and Wallet address.
Then you click submit, and the page is requesting.
It's the same layout but you are added for Faucet Payout, the Payout is curently manually and should be one time per day.

Hello. Would you kindly check your algo? Maybe you set it wrong.
I've monitored my server and payment processor works very well, so every miner should get their payments. But GLT has massive fees for transactions. That can cause delays for payments. From the other side; pool wallet's sync is perfectly fine with 8 concurrent connections... also if it can't sync, it won't accept block shares.

They were supposed to launch the website at 9:30PM and launched with the forum not fully functional over 6 hours early due to heavy trolling on Coinexchange.

First of all,  (i wrote that already) they tried to hack my coinexchange account with their faucet. Secondly, the only thing that they write in their site which was launched later than the estimated time (not fully functional as you say) is that glt is x10 times faster than usain bolt. Also where are the devs and not even a twitter update (give me a break).

This is a scam. It has been exposed across Twitter, Reddit and all kinds of crypto news sites. You have a coin stealer within the wallet. Several scans have proved it as recently as July 20th 2017. This is A BAD COIN.

and exactly this has been spread by those that were scamming our community.

The virus scan were showing "miner" inside wallet - and there is a miner in the wallet as in almost any wallet.
and 1 False positive.
another 56 scanners say its clean! and thats what it is.

whatever the wallet is removed and will be replaced within a few days with a new one including segwit support.

There never was a virus and there is no virus.

Just cause anybody on twitter says clouds are black they still are not.

There was a virus for 8 months on several scans. EVERYONE saw it. The scans are still available. There's dozens of articles and post with clear evidence of this scam. It did not just say a miner. Don't let this guy fool you.

i only found heuristic scans that were all pretty okay for a wallet.

👍. There's always been a good core team here and it's great to see this coin remains alive and kicking. With regards to Point 2, there are other coins out there which have very fast transfer times (Denarius comes to mind) which haven't achieved much profile on this basis. I like most of all Point 6; I think that some change is needed to fund the team which has remained loyal to the project.

My Wallet stucks at "14 hours remaining" since yesterday at block 250591. Fuck! have a pending payment of 40k. Always the same problem. Nobody is mining this coin. not interesting. This is the reason why exchanges has put the coin on maintainance.

current overall network hashrate in gH/s is 29270.484659486 this means about 29 ths whole network.
so with a decent miner you can easily solo mine it (even on a pool).

As Komodo Platform has been working around the clock to fine-tune the multiple GUI's that are the face of our Agama multiwallet and BarterDEX atomic swap (https://komodoplatform.com/en/technology/barterdex) protocols, there have obviously been many bugs found and many debugged. However, one bug in particular was found not only in our Agama GUI wallet, but also in the zcash4mac GUI swing wallet. It is a simple bug, but it warrants your attention. This is a potential money cost bug.

Globaltoken (GLT) - As a Bitcoin-protocol cryptocurrency, your GUI wallet(s) may be susceptible to this bug.

ISSUE: 'watchonly' addresses appearing as your own in GUI wallet; users could potentially send funds to the address, unaware it is not theirs or available for withdrawal.  You can import <any address> and it becomes a 'watchonly' address. The GUI will display the address as yours, add its funds to your balance, and accept deposits, but cannot be withdrawn. This could be a normal address, my address, a p2sh address, satoshi's address, etc. This can be confusing to an end-user and will lead to many headaches for the developer, as is always the case with misplaced funds.

FOUND: in Komodo Platform's Agama multiwallet (fixed) and zcash4mac GUI swing wallet (@jl777b: "newest QT wallet seems ok about watch only, but not sure of older and when it was fixed")

SOLUTION: For the 'watchonly' address or any address not yours, the value 'ismine' returns false. Any such address gets filtered out.

QUESTIONS:

• How does your recommended GUI deal with watchonly addresses?
• Does your GUI display watchonly addresses as different than actual addresses in the wallet?

We need to experiment a bit to see which approach gets a better response triggering the bug. People WILL lose money if they send funds to a watchonly address.


I've been tasked with spreading awareness and facilitating discussion of this bug, so please let me know if you have any questions. I'll get you some answers and we can minimize the impact. We wanted to reach out directly to the developers of the 60+ coins featured on Agama and BarterDEX as the bug may have a direct impact on you (via your own GUI wallet).

To make this more clear - Globaltoken is a "no Premine" "no ICO" "No Income at all" Project.
this means currently the whole Team is working with no fee's at all and we would be happy to get more help in development (currently we got what we need), Webdesign, And Graphic design ..

XSPEC is POS3 and the wallet is set up to allow you to donate your stake for a certain percentage to the developers.

I think it's a fantastic system and I donate my stake to the development of XSPEC, because I know that a value increase will be realized.

I also think that GLT is a good coin with enthusiastic developers, So I hope you can realize something like that. Or can make a budget in another way.

But if you switch to POS3, then I certainly donate my stake for development. And I think that many more holders will make a contribution.

As of now, GLT is on 2 exchanges

CoinExchange
both exchanges have been informed of the upcoming hardfork.

The hardfork will not be a new coin with a new blockchain and requiring a new wallet.dat
GLT is being worked on by professional and knowledgeable people know and understand what it means to retain a wallet (wallet.dat) and not just make new coins and swap them.
With the hardfork, all you will have to do is to update your GlobalToken client which is very essential because its a hardfork.

The explorer will be maintained because the old blocks will still be valid.

We have seen this scammer.
We very much wish we could delete this account however twitter is not for the GlobalToken team. It is an open social network where anyone can create any account with a unique and unused username.
We have taken appropriate steps to report those account that seek to mimic our twitter account and there is nothing more we can do.
Many genuine crypto twitter accounts are facing this same issue.

Maybe i have not yet seen, but i haven't come accoss any project that had a more genuine launch than GlobalToken
Not even 1 GLT was premined, there was no ICO nor any other launch method that would leave the dev with any money for the project whatsoever.
Those who have been with the community will know that the project has survived purely from support from the community.
If we were scammers, this wouldn't be the case.
After the hardfork, hopefully, the project will be self-funded to help it to thrive.

But there is a lot background stuff that is in progress currently.
As some of you may noticed, we will have a Hardfork soon!

We entered the late alpha stage now and all features are coded right now!
But we need a good testing phase to ensure everything is working error-free!

Short overview about the upcoming hardfork:
• We allow Multialgo / Mega-Algo. GlobalToken's Hardfork will include 30 Proof of Work algorithms.
• We changed the retargeting system; The current chain susceptible to lagging so we fixed that and introduced Multishield!
• The block size has been upgraded to 10 Megabytes and the TX-Size has been upgraded to 1 Megabyte
• GLT allows Mergemining also known as AuxPow(Auxiliary Proof of Work) to mine GLT together with other coins without additional hashpower!
• We integrated treasury, a "Blockchain self-funding" to pay new exchanges, marketing, Dev fee, and other budgets for upcoming releases and to grow to a big cryptocurrency project.
• A long awaited feature has been integrated: Masternodes!
• We will allow Instant-transactions on the GLT blockchain, you can send Instant-transactions and they will get confirmed instantly.
• And we will create a Company that will handle the blockchain projects independent of us but not in isolation.

This is a quick overview about the upcoming hardfork! There is a lot more going on in the background that will be done soon!
