Title: GUIMiner Issues Post by: Synpax on June 15, 2011, 01:59:25 AM Hi,
I realize this is not the ideal place to post this, but as a 'newbie', I have to. I am interested in mining but have a problem. I have version 2011-06-09 of GUIMiner and cannot get my video card to show up as a Device. All that shows up is the i7 CPU. My machine is an Asus G73JH-A1. The video card is ATi Mobility Radeon HD 5870 3D Graphic Card with 1024 MB GDDR5 VRAM. I have installed the latest Catalyst package and also installed the OpenCL.msi on it's own. What do I need to do to get the GPU to show up in the device drop-down? Thanks, Matt Title: Re: GUIMiner Issues Post by: ND on June 15, 2011, 03:20:57 AM reinstall the drivers and opencl. This happened to me once, sometimes mobility card have problems with drivers, just reinstall and grab the latest opencl.

Title: Re: GUIMiner Issues Post by: Synpax on June 15, 2011, 12:20:17 PM Hi,
Thanks for your response. I re-installed repeatedly, uninstalled, re-installed, etc. No luck. Title: Re: GUIMiner Issues Post by: kingzzz on June 15, 2011, 12:45:40 PM download gpu caps and see if the driver is installed correctly.
Also are you selecting the right miner in the drop down tabs? Title: Re: GUIMiner Issues Post by: zerokwel on June 15, 2011, 01:14:45 PM King is right
in gui miner go to file---->new miner and try both open CL and or phoenix One of them might work Title: Re: GUIMiner Issues Post by: pointbiz on June 15, 2011, 11:04:04 PM I reinstalled Catalyst then the video driver and it worked for me. On my mobility 5650
