Post by: aditya6997 on December 09, 2016, 06:45:50 AM
Is it possible to mine altcoin with onboard Intel G41 Graphic Card?
I don't have any other GPU or any asic hardware to mine

I really want to know how can I mine on onboard GPU?
On Windows 7 32bit or 64bit ???

So pls anyone tell me how could I do at least I'll mine XMR BCN FCN coin (cryptonight coins)!

It's possible but you will be wasting energy and time.

If you want to mine cryptonight coins use your CPU, that algo is cpu friendly.

I don't know of miners for Intel onboard GPU. I think that no such miner exists. And the main reason is that you would pay more for electricity than you'd earn.
You need in most cases 64bit operating system, so the answer for that part is Win7 x64.
So as others said, with this configuration, your only choice for XMR&Co si CPU mining.

I am doubt it is worth if you want mine XMR BCN and FCN, they are old coins and has big difficulty and i think you can try to choose the coins that has low difficulty of mining.
You can check to https://whattomine.com/ maybe there are coins that profitable for be mined by your GPU, good luck.

I wonder what hash rate he will get if he tried to mine with Intel iGPU. Please let us know after you have tried it hahaha.

No clue, not sure if it is worth bothering. No profit and you would most likely render the computer unusable while mining.

You should try see if any mining software picks it up and can mine otherwise your answer is no.

Not sure why you didn't try that already?

Use CPU

As everyone has said, it is a waste of energy and time. Go ahead and try, but there is no real support for it because it is not profitable.

Better to buy the coins from the  exchange and trade than mine it without any profits and just waste of time but if you are just doing it for some learning purpose its still worth to try and learn from it.

yes , you can if you want to just learn and teach yourself..  as long their is a opencl driver.. but over all there's not enough coins that you can mine with due to high difficulty  the only time anyone can mine with that setup if you stumbled upon a new coin at the right time... (at the first day of release and no premined coins) is when you can maybe make a profit during  the day of a new coin release..
