I would like to extend this improvement to samsung memory.

So the current memory shipped with the 4gb Nitro is Elpida?  What is the power consumption with this ROM?  Do you have some screen shots you can post?  And of course is it stable?

Somewhere in this thread I think the power draw is over 110 watts on the card. So it is not running much below the TDP. Digging in that thread is a pain with so many variations of these cards and hardly anybody reporting wattage

No it is not.
I recently received a few with Samsung memory, maybe I have just been lucky.
But I think that you have to win the memory potter, you cannot be sure about which memory brand you will receive

Hello, mates, I seek some help modding some 470s with Micron memory chips. Actually I can't access their timings with the current bios readers, so I'm unable doing mods.
If someone has an idea how to tweak it , please share some info. I've uploaded the original bios here:

For me RX470 Nitro+ OC Hynix is best.
Hynix > Elpida > Samsung.
Hynix can get 29.7, no matter ASIC quality always get 29.7 at 1150/2050.
Then Elpida 29.5 at same clock and Samsung 29.

Hm, I have 2x 470 Nitro+ 4GB Samsung, both are stable @ 29.5 MH on ETH... So for me Samsungs are really good...

Which straps on Hynix chips , and which on Elpida?

Don't know about those... But if anyone needs 29.5 MH/s BIOS for 470 Nitro+ 4GB with samsung mem, its pulling 175w @ wall, so i guess GPU is about 135w at the wall, let me know.

Those scores are on linux box, maybe Win10 would be even faster...

Stupid question AFter your bios flash how do you validate bios? My windows won't recognize any of the cards do i uninstall and reinstall drivers?

i have sapphire nitro rx 470 4gb elpida and got only 27.045mhs and 4xRIG 730W at wall. whats problem with me? i just upload your bios file and i didnt use any trixx or something that changes 1150/2050 ?
