Title: https://www.miningrigrentals.com/ Whats the point?
Post by: Theneogeo on December 10, 2016, 09:37:02 AM
They're popular and most " RPI" package is the 750TH one.. But the 48 hour price ( Max you can rent for ) is for 1.937xxx bitcoin, but at the current rate and diff that only brings you .66BTC a day... Soooooooooooo if my good ol trusty calculator is correct, you're short .6xxx BTC...... What would make someone want to rent that knowing the loss?!?!?!?! In hopes of finding a block?????

It's not like you can mine other alt coins and hopefully turn a profit based on the market right?  ::) ::)

I see your point, but I'm asking for this??? How is this still an option for people?? I mean they must rent it out quite often to still be up... I'm curious

They probably have either free or nearly free electrical cost. It isn't easy for them to just sell their miners, the demands aren't super high. The site allows the providers to mine on their own pool and it is only switched when they have an order.

That being said, it is still very expensive and I believe there are several sites that have providers offering a lower price. It's probably either for altcoins or gambling to mine a block.

Belongs to service discussion btw.

Service is mainly for the threads that are providing it. Discussion is well, you guessed it, discussing about the sites that provides this service.

Most of the sellers list their mining power in miningrigrentals to earn more than mining bitcoin directly with their rigs.

Even though the price is higher, there are several buyers who like to rent some to mine few new altcoin on first day of launch so that they can be early miners and quickly dump those coin when they get listed in few trading platforms.

Several ? I only know of nicehash and miningrentals. What are these other ones I would like to find more and compare prices. I also want to rather rent less power for longer but not have to pay so much more.

You the reason altcoins die. Also you so greedy you don't see the long term.
