Whats the second best cryptocurrency other than bitcoin that is altcoin??

It depends of what you're asking..
On Coinmarketcap.com you can check capitalisation of all altcoins on market (500 for sure :) )
Altcoins that are strong now in future can goes down. If you are asking, which coin is good to invest now, this question you should to ask in trading section. But be careful there, a lot of people don't give good advices, just speculate ;)

Coinmarketcap was presenting the avaible supply and how many the capitalization in all of the market. My guess the strong reason about choose the potentially alt coin for be a subtitution for bitcoin through the dev and his motivation and way of development.
Choose the good alt wasn't considering about how many the total market capitalization, i think it can't be becoming the strong reason for that.

Just make good research before you invest in sny altcoin!
Stay in btc right now is most safe if you dont know what are you doing!

2 coin team (dev, marketing and more)
3 user coin community

coinmarketcap is only "data" and for those who don't know how to use this "data" it becomes misleading especially with their ranking system which is based only on marketcap which is a bad factor to use for comparing altcoins.

and it helps altcoins manipulate users easily. take a look at Ethereum for example. a hyped up coin with not much interest left in it but it is still number 2 because it has a huge amount of coins available.

as another example: if Dogecoin price was only 871 satoshi it could have a bigger market cap than ethereum and Doge with price of 14,954 satoshi could have a bigger market cap than bitcoin!

There is no way to exactly say with is the best because what do you define as the "second best". Like for example, in terms of stability I would say litecoin as the 2nd best and also because it has lasted this long. XMR is also looking promising right now, but i would solely use it for short trading bursts.

best in what aspect? there are too many.

• for example in technology and features i would choose XMR
• for a stable price i choose LTC, and i believe Diamond is there also.
• for profitability most altcoins are the best because most of them are pump and dump and it means profitability if you are a good trader.
• developing team, i choose none because most of them are incompetent and the rest are only looking for filling their pockets.
• real world application no altcoin really has it.
• community Dogecoin used to be a good one but that is also fading.

what is coin team and user coin community??  ???

i want an altcoin in that aspect that if bitcoin goes to an end .. I would be having some other cryptocurrency for trade for i have heard many times that bitcoin is not going to last much longer ..

I have watched DASH

Monero and Factom look promising for a long-term investment. Both seem like really good projects that have a solid future.

I'm actually moving my coins off the exchange since I plan on holding these for a while.

what you have heard about bitcoin is called FUD (these are false lies that some known people spread for their own agenda) don't pay much attention to it.

also know that nothing lasts forever, bitcoin is the same. however it is strong right now and it is on a good path, and also there is no reason for its failure in the foreseeable future.

if you are looking for something to buy and dump fast for some profit then every altcoin can be a potential candidate for you since they are all created for the sole purpose of getting pump and dumped and traded.

besides if you think bitcoin is going to fail some day and a currently existing altcoin will replace it, you are very wrong.

There are few coins with a synergy like relationship to bitcoin's price, when bitcoin price goes up then immediately their price in satoshi adjusts it self, try to find those coins in exchanges and make a bag then buy to hold for at least 1 year, and since bitcoin price is rising daily and will keep doing so, then you can relax that your altcoins will rise as well.

Well it depends in which way 2nd best. If you are talking about total value then you can check it on coinmarket. In case of price you should check the exchanges. And if based on usability then its personal preference.

For me the best altcoin is the one the market has elected. Just look at coinmarketcap.com which one is just behind Bitcoin. As of today that's Ethereum, and I understand its leading position.

I think the best altcoin for me is LTC. I Beleive on this
coins, and still holding this coin until now. So, lets watch

he said the best not the one with the biggest cap, which is etheruem and ripple, but ripple is trash it's not an altcoin in the very emaning of it and etheruem is centralized and will be pos only, therefore the second best should be zcash or monero, but i prefer the former for better anonymity

I'm also agree that etherium (ETH) is a great value of altcoin recently as we know that altcoin also being used by Mircrosoft , it means that they believe on ETH

It's subjective, but I think Mintcoin is the best.

from what i see on coinmarketcap, ethereum is in the second place but in the each market, i don't know, because there is many altcoin and each of altcoin have possibility to be the second place. so if you want to find what altcoin will be the second place, then you should make analysis for each coins.

imo any altcoin has the chance to become number 2. Analyse the different altcin projects and make your decision which one could succeed in 2017.
