Post by: Cranky4u on December 13, 2016, 11:33:54 PM
This shit is getting very real...Australia is to follow Venuzula and Idia by scrapping $100 note. A few more steps and they will go cashless with the Govt monitoring every transaction from food to porn.

...

Thank you for advising us of Yet Another Country that wants to screw its citizens by taking away CA$H.

Do the authorities there not recognize what is happening in India and Venezuela where they have started such lunacy?

I wonder if we Americans would react in our typically harsher way...

Basically sooner or later every countries seems to follow this trend of demonitization and people will also understand how risky it is to trust government issued paper bills. This may increase awareness regarding bitcoin like decentralized and non regulated cash on long run which is good for bitcoin adoption and marketcap  ;D

Price were already boosted in indian and Venezuelan local trading platform now it seems we will see next price surge for bitcoin globally.

The AUD 100 note is considered as a high denomination currency note.... But at the same time, its value is much smaller than the CHF 1,000 banknote or the €500 banknote. They should have kept it in circulation.
