Has the bitcoin project left the "beta" stage yet? If not, when is it projected to leave beta?

more then likely it will be in beta for another 10+ years. but thats because its still new, and there isnt a big company taking the bull by the horns like you might expect if it were google running this. in a way i think it also helps with perception of bitcoin, its way too new of a currency to be considered anything other then beta. it also has many features that havnt yet been implemented that are key to its advancement.

Ten years! That is a long time, but I am sure many changes will take place before that last bitcoin is minted.

last coin block is estimated to be in 2140 :P unless asic have more of an impact then expected but it would require exponential block on block processing to counter increasing difficulty
