Title: Re: KOSH123 (Sealswithclubs player) STOLE 3 BTC
Post by: CasinoBit on April 09, 2013, 05:41:54 PM
I woke up this morning and got on sealswithclubs account to discover 3000 chips were missing. After looking at withdrawals there were none. After checking player to player transfers, I noticed my account had sent 3000 chips to KOSH123, WHICH I DID NOT AUTHORIZE. I am now out well over $500 and honestly being 18, I am getting out of bitcoins, selling all I have and telling my story to other people thinking about getting into bitcoins. My friend Kevin had his BTC-e account hacked and changed password and no help from support. He lost .90 BTC himself. LET THIS BE A WARNING FOR ALL THOSE LOOKING TO GET INTO BITCOINS!

Using cookies together with uniquely generated addresses and instant cash-outs would be far superior than letting ANY service bank your coins.

Guess some people just need the equivalent of a babysitting state but in finance.

I don't think it is important, but the username was KOTH123.

Do not use your password at other sites. If you do you may be robbed. If you give your password to strangers setting up new bitcoin gambling sites that advertise themselves primarily in Seals chat you will almost definitely get robbed.

Two factor auth is available now for Seals accounts. Make sure you have a valid email on file with us and then activate it at:

Could you please show the secret in text form as well as QR code?  It's annoying to have to find my USB webcam just to decode the QR code as I don't have a cell phone.

Edit: it appears that viewing the source of the page is enough to find the secret:

It would be safer to generate the QR code on-site rather than telling a third party each user's secret.

It seems like your blaming Bitcoin itself for something which you could have prevented. Like all internet websites, you have to be more secure :@

If they got your password, then it's 100% your fault to at least some degree.

Agreed.

Why haven't you taken the matter up with SealsWithClubs? I'm confident they would at least investigate your claim.
