Fellow miners,

I've recently noticed a bunch of people still building GPU rigs, for BTC and LTC.

I have built tons of GPU rigs and have done them on a custom chassis that is pictured below.

These open air rig chassis hold up to 5 GPU's and have a custom mounting plate for 2 ATX power supplies.

They also have an ATX motherboard plate fixed to them and are ready to accept your mining equipment.

The price will be $175 (assembled) or $160 (un-assembled) (paid in Bitcoin at the 24 hour average price) with shipping included

Question, would you happen to have just the plates for mounting the motherboards/PSU? Did you make them? or buy them.
shipping would be way cheaper and I could build my own frame.

By the way these are a steal, I roughly threw some numbers together on how much to make your own, and he is basically making no money.

i like your design on it, could i offer a bit of a suggestion. you could possibly drill the end rails and add hanger plates so you could mount a couple fans on it to point directly at the cards. just a suggestion tho.

Be warned that if you ask for it to be unassembled, you'll need a mallet and some elbow grease.  :P

Yes, this is massive work for me - I do not have equipment or space, so will wait for gigavps to make some.

I'll concur - my 2 racks arrived quickly and expertly packaged.  They even came with Mobo risers and screws.  Very nice work, giga.

Since there seems to be more interest for cases, I'm going to have 20 more created.

I'll leave 10 of them unassembled if some of you would like to assemble them. Expect an update in this thread when they are ready.

As an update:

We should have everything together to begin selling more cases a week from Monday ( May 6th, 2013 ).

All new cases will be in pieces and you'll need a mallet and some elbow grease to put them together. They will comes with detailed instructions for assembly and all of the parts necessary including any self tapping screws that are needed.

I will not be taking any orders or coins until the cases are in hand and are ready to ship.

If you have any questions, you can reply here or PM me and I will get them answered as quickly as possible.

Most of the parts have been sourced and are arriving. As soon as the aluminum is cut and drburred we should be ready to start delivering cases.

I'll give another update before the end of the week.

I know this is probably not the right thread to ask, but since you are very experienced in this, do you have any advise/writeup on building a GPU based rig from scratch ? Now that I bought the frame, want to put in the rest together - any form of guidance will be great help!  ;D

I am a poor college kid and cant afford one of yours right now but my dad is a woodcrafter and is willing to build me one out of scraps he has, but I am not sure on the dimenisions or anything. I didn't inherit the blueprint gene so here I am. Thanks in advance :)

The PDF lists dimensions probably easy to figure out off that.  I stayed late instead of coming in at 5a.  Mining away :)  Now time to throw 3 more cards on it.

That is great to hear! Post some pics when you have all of the cards on it.

Glad you were (mostly) happy with case. We would pre-drill holes for the gpus expect we don't know ahead of time how many cards are going to be run with the case.

We could pre-drill for 5 cards, what do you guys think?

I received my 2 cases today.  Just put the first one together.

Awesome! It is definitely a workout putting these things together but well worth it.  ;D

5 is a good number even if I ran 4-5 like a bit of space between cards

Haha especially since I couldn't find my mallet and used a 5lb neoprene dumbell.  Wasn't bad taking a side apart now THAT was a workout.

Still waiting on usps. Tracked my package though and it says delivery attempt made on the 13th at around 8:30PM (which im skeptical about, as I and a few others were in the house at the time), redelivery was supposed to happen on the following day. Now it is the day after that and nothing has arrived still, not even a "we missed you, your package is with..." note.

Emailed twice and phoned up long distance rates to get told that the office as closed and no agents could take my call lol.

Aww man its one of those days for me, can't wait till work is over and I can sleep away the rest of the day, hopefully theres a note from the mailman when I arrive home also, keep your fingers crossed for me!  ;).

James could you give them call tomorrow if I message you? I cant really stay on hold when calling from here, £££s' go up fast on phonelines. If you check the tracking number youll see what I am talking about regarding the delivery attempt.

I wonder who is the usps parter for the uk, is it just royal mail or do they subcontract that out again to another smaller company.

Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for the case! I was about to order aluminium and you popped up with these at the same time.

They are extremely easy to put together and extremely hard to take apart, so to any prospective buyers: make sure you get the correct parts in the corrects places :)

I drilled my rack for 4 cards as 5 I think is a little too tight, I had 5 in there and 2 PSUs but I decided against the extra cards and PSU in the end, it looks so much cleaner and less like frankensteins desktop :D

We've felt this pain too and is why we offer an assembled option!  :D


I do 5 cards on most of my rigs just to make sure ROI is the shortest time possible. More cards on a MB / PSU combo just means quicker payback whether you are talking about BTC or LTC.

These were a pain in the dick to assemble. Would highly recommend paying for the professional assembly. I smashed my finger several times and cracked a tile on my floor in the process. However, they are of EXCEPTIONAL build quality.

We have 6 un-assembled cases left that are ready to be shipped out.
