Title: AMD GPU problem
Post by: crazyearner on December 16, 2016, 02:15:28 AM
Anyone know how to resolve  Code 43 Error with AMD GPU when this is acurring with 1 gpu regardless of slot and driver does not seem to go away. Anyone know the cause to this and how to resolve it as been trying to resolve for ages and even using with without pwoer cables and putting directly into 16x slt for gpu is still getting the error.

Tried removing drivers restarting wiping drivers with cleaner utility and reinstalling various drivers for 480 card and still I get code 43 error. Card works fine in different system however does not want to work on another system,

I think you have tried everything. Maybe something is wrong with the card. If it has dual bios, try another bios.

Good luck...I had this same problem years ago but I cannot for the life of me remember how I got out of it...;)  If it comes to me I'll post it.... You could also try another card that you have already verified...wait...neurons are firing and crackling & something's coming back (amazing feat at my age)....check out your system devices and make sure all of those look right...specifically check your PCI bus driver to make sure the AMD drivers are correctly installed...also take a look at your AMD SmBus drivers...some of these you might try uninstalling (not permanently) and manually updating...I'm fairly certain that it was one of these drivers being incorrectly installed that was the fault of my code 43 error...You might want to play around with them all just to see...

Edit: I just checked my own PCI bus driver and discovered that it was a 2014 driver which I replaced with the 8/2015 driver found in the Crimson 16.1 folder...

Think have resolved. using RX 480 card error code 43 I use cards like 280 x or 390 they work perfectly fine soon as I put the 480 in works but hazard sign on the card and error code 43. And did try updating all he drivers on the board too and on latest ones that stopped support at 2015 so maybe it has no support for the rx 480 series cards still resolved a different way would been nice if had the support but am up and running so am not gonna fk round more until got the time. Least running one way but not preferred. Guess got some digging around to do with drivers or updates.

Turns out the motherboard does not support the gpu bit odd like as have same version on another motherboard and it works fine unless revision is different maybe. Still tho least working long last :) Thx for comments anyway for ones who tried :)

What motherboard?

Motherboard is GIGABYTE GA-MA785GT-UD3H fairly old. I had a more uptodate revision one that was AMD+ that does support them but finding this board seems it dont support when in device manager it shows them as their but with a hazard sign on the cards referring to error code 43 saying that hardware is fault but works with older gpu just the 480 cards it does not.
