Title: Z170 chipset can't detect 6GPU???? Post by: nightclaw on December 16, 2016, 09:14:30 AM now i use MSI z87 + i7 4770 and 6 GPU but i what change to the new rig for z170 mabo, i heard the z170 can't not detect 6 GPU..and 4GPU maxed it's real??

I can confirm Gigabyte Z170-GAMING K3 works with 6 cards using latest bios was setup windows 10 16.9.2 driver initially set up with 4 cards then added another 2 cards windows took about 10 mins to add all the cards but the driver messed up so reinstalled 16.9.2 and working fine Title: Re: Z170 chipset can't detect 6GPU???? I have a MSI Z170A Krait gaming and only working with 4, when connecting the 5 or 6 one the system can't handle and shows 3 as corrupted: Code 13 and lack of resources... But the question is... could, this M.2, SATA slots or anothers I never going to use, be disabled with the objetive to release some lanes you talking about? ive flashed 10 gigabyte GA-Z170-Gaming K3 to latest bios F20 9 out 10 work flawlessly with 6 cards, problematic rig needs taking apart and resetting been stable for 2-3 days now for anyone with the following board ASROCK Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K6 using BIOS 2.8 can run 5 cards by doing the following in the bios go to advanced mode and chipset settings Change PCIE to gen1 on both options change max TOLUD which is the next option down from the above to 2.5GB this makes 5 cards work I have not got round to flashing the bios yet to reassess if can do 6 cards Title: Re: Z170 chipset can't detect 6GPU???? 1. Use an old ide drive. 2. Enable internal graphics in the bios, but use the screen on the pci-e. 3. Set 1 gen pci-e slot in the bios. 4. windows 10. The internal graphics will fail with code 12, but the 5 other cards will work. If your harddrive is too new, the machine will not boot. |
