The bitcoins will return to your wallet and you'll be able to resend.

I don't get why abandon transactions never works. I'm afraid to use that. Maybe it will destroy the wallet. This is the Blockchain info: Transactions No. Transactions 305 Total Received 102.36899048 BTC Final Balance 0.00141177 BTC The final Balance shows the amount minus the fee 0.00000339 BTC So why is the system still keeping it and don't send it back to wallet? Title: Re: Failed transaction Post by: longbob72 on December 16, 2016, 11:52:52 AM It won't destroy your wallet. It will delete all of your transaction and do a rescan (your confirmed transactions will show up again after rescan). Unless you get rid of that transaction bitcoin core will keep rebroadcasting it until it gets confirmed.

You have waited 3 months, the fee is simply too low.Backup your wallet.dat, then zap it. Your wallet is already re-sending it if you keep the wallet running. Will it come back to my wallet, or? Anyone knows? Using Bitcoin Core versjon v0.13.1 (64-bit) No. That's not how bitcoin works. You are using a wallet the will continue to try to send the transaction forever unless you remove the transaction from your wallet (or a competing transaction gets confirmed). Second method then. Use zapwallettxes. I'm afraid to use that. Maybe it will destroy the wallet. Create a backup of your wallet before you do ANYTHING else. Store that backup in a safe place. If you do not have a good backup of your wallet, YOU SHOULD NOT BE USING YOUR WALLET AT ALL! This is the Blockchain info: Blockchain.info is a company with unreliable software. It really doesn't matter what their website says. They are not the official representation of transactions or the blockchain. So why is the system still keeping it and don't send it back to wallet? There is no "system" keeping anything. You have a wallet. You created a transaction in your wallet. Your wallet is trying to get that transaction confirmed for you. It will continue to try to do that for you until you tell it to stop. Always rebroadcast, so maybe I should only wait? You can wait if you want. If you get VERY LUCKY, then maybe some miner (or mining pool) will be very generous and confirm the transaction for you out of the charity in their heart and it will confirm very soon. It is also possible that all the miners (and mining pools) will ignore your transaction (since they are trying to earn a profit) and it will take many weeks, or months, or years to confirm (or maybe never confirm). Other options are to remove the transaction from your wallet and re-send it with a higher fee, or contact a mining pool and offer to pay them to confirm it for you. Problem, it's not possible to remove the transaksjon from wallet, as I told before. This has been explained to you four times already. - snip - start core with -zapwallettxes (instructions on how to do it here (https://achow101.com/2016/07/Bitcoin-Core-Troubleshooting#option-startup)). You expressed concern about "destroying your wallet": - snip - I'm afraid to use that. Maybe it will destroy the wallet. - snip - But, if you have good backups of your wallet stored in a safe place, then why do you care if it destroys your wallet? It won't, but even if it somehow does, you can just replace it from the backup. Title: Re: Failed transaction Post by: Hanslo on December 17, 2016, 06:56:22 PM Dear DannyHamilton,
