Title: 5 Things the Bitcoin and Blockchain Industry Needs to Stop Saying in 2017
Post by: tyz on December 17, 2016, 11:38:29 AM
The bitcoin and blockchain industry continues to grow, but as new people begin to take notice, they’re often greeted with the same tired talking points.
As we head into 2017, some of those talking points should be left by the roadside entirely.

1. To the moon

2. Blockchains for EVERYTHING!!!

3. No complaining

4. Code is law

5. Everything’s a blockchain

Ok, what will replace that? ..... " To Mars " ? / " Bitcoin token is King " / " Code rules, but application is Cool "  ::) .... I agree, we should have

a mind shift now, but I would want to see people coming together behind ONE technology. We are fighting over trivial things. A definite

decision has to be made if we going to accept SegWit/LN or if we are going to follow a new implementation? Scaling should happen in the

background, not be the talk of the media on every platform we visit.  ::)

The only thing that should be stopped is this blockchain = true innovation without Bitcoin nonsense. The true innovation is Bitcoin. The blockchain is just a tool to make Bitcoin as a form of decentralized cash possible. The banking industry can't cope with the fact, that the distributed ledger system Bitcoin could bring them out of business. That's why they focus on blockchain without Bitcoin concepts. But it won't help them.

These are jargon's that the community use too very often to even instruct anyone to stop doing so. "To the Moon" is the classic where people often see a price rise and start posting these reddit comments and posts saying so. Also it's not bullying when Andreas said "Profitable bitcoin companies that have never contributed to bitcoin dev have no basis to complain". He's infact right when he said so, there are many like Circle who recently even gave up cause of silly reasons blaming the Bitcoin core development team. It's what needs to be pointed.

I could agree with this. Sometimes realy matters how is something said and promoted, not only what is said. And some paroles related to bitcoin realy sound like used thousands of times in wrong terms and they are not making the correct description so have to be changed. I agree that we have to start present Bitcoin differently if we want to help it.
