That got me curious, so I've decided to auction this redeemed (empty) 2016 V-Series BTCC Titanium 1BTC coin at a low starting reserve of only .01 BTC. The coin comes inside its original Air-Tite™ protective capsule, which is stored inside its original black, velvet-lined display case. Original booklet with matching public address is also included. (Original holographic security sticker has been peeled off, then carefully replaced.) White cotton fuzz inside the Air-Tite™ capsule is a free bonus! ;) NOTE: There is a small imperfection on the coin face, below the "M" in "BTCC MINT" (front, top). The coin arrived this way from the BTCC store. BTCC offer some high denomination coins and if they use the same set up it could be exploited, but maybe I missed something..

There is clearly a honeycomb effect visible, however, you have to get it at the right angle, and look very closely - I agree, the pics do look like there is no effect, but after putting on my glasses and using more light, I could clearly see it. I'm not sure why it was redeemed (I'm not the original owner), but I do appreciate those people who redeem pre-funded coins. It lets the rest of us know if the coins are really funded or not.
