Title: Does speculative deflation destabilize BTC as usable currency?
Post by: jimbursch on April 10, 2013, 02:25:24 AM
This is a question for the economics forum, but I'm a newb so I can't post there yet.

I'm interested in building a business using BTC, not engaging in speculative trading. Does the recent price spike in BTC make running a legitimate business more difficult?

I'm hoping to set-up a business too. My hope is that the more business out there with something to purchase with the BTC/LTC/TRC/PPC etc the more people will stop hoarding and start using it as a proper currency (as many people already are). If it all ends up just being hoarded then bad things will come :(
