Soon woodcoin will have a larger block height than bitcoin.  The first astute bitcointalk reader who names the block height at which woodcoin first passes bitcoin, that is the first block height for which woodcoin has a later timestamp than bitcoin's corresponding timestamp of identical height, will receive 50 mBTC from me.  

One guess per person (later guesses will not count).
Guesses after the timestamp in question will not count.

You have to be extremely lucky if you want to guess this correctly. Till when are you able to guess the block height or are people aloud to do this last minute because I don't see any closing time.

I'm gonna make some crappy guesses with my first grade math skills (i never passed.)

If the average time for a block for WOOD is around 10 minutes and for BTC it's 20 minutes, then...

Current WOOD block #: 445355
Current BTC wood #: 446541

For every 2 WOOD blocks we would get 1 BTC block.

Current difference between them two: 1186 blocks.

WOOD: 446355
BTC: 447041

Difference: 686 blocks.

WOOD: 447355
BTC: 447541

Difference: 186 blocks.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and just make a wild guess considering my estimations were way off...

BTC height = WOOD height @ 447301

Wood when block change 447302.

The delta is now less than 400 blocks...  guess soon! 

These guesses are looking good but who knows, woodcutters have been quite variable in their habits. 

We also had an hour long bitcoin block wait yesterday.

 

God damn the height is increasing fast.

If they match up in 300 blocks I will declare my self a mathematical genius. If not, :(

Yes! Bitcoin blocks moved very fast in last hours. Otherwise, I would have won in here. However, Wishes to the one who said it right.

I think there was 447345 here. I posted to reserve 447340 to 447344 (I used 477340 to 477344 in my post instead of 447340 to 447344. You can see in quoted post.) after that post. The user has edited this I think. My post was also quoted by the other user who wished to me select one guess. Then I changed to guess only 447344. LOL  ;D

I didn't see these quoted message with the guess previously. Haha Again!  ;D ;D

I don't know about the other guy but I did some estimations on the previous guesses and then edited my post to quite his.

A quick check and it looks like Vertlim the noob has it with 447351.

However BrailleReadee guessing 447350 hours beforehand deserves a prize as well. 

Sadly this all goes to heck at this point as I can't tell if posts were post-facto edited. 

Please get me your addresses, winners, and the floor is open for protests in the meantime. 

The user BRailleReadee edited it after the block timestamp. He is not the winner. There is no purpose of the contest if he is declared winner in this contest. If you would have been online at that time, you would have noticed it clearly. "Hoursbeforehand" that BrailleReadee entered only 447345. It was there until LOG reaches 447350. So, decide yourself.

I didn't see 447350 before my post when I entered. I didn't edit my post. You can check with the logs if you can. I am sure.

You are right, i also saw 447345 from that guy, he is not the winner and if moderators can check the logs they will find that guy edited his post.

Hehe, well most of you figured out this was more of a "who will be online at the right time and get lucky" kind of contest.  Poorly thought out on my part really, my apologies.  Another issue here is that technically we will never know the winner!   There is still a chance of a long chain reorganization to another branch in which the winning block is a different one.  OK, so the chances of that grow exponentially smaller with every passing block but hey - we're here now, might as well learn what we can from this.  

So because we will never know, I'm not going to send the prize.  

Just kidding!  I sent the prize to Vertlim.  447351 appears to be the magic first wood block with a timestamp later than the corresponding btc block's timestamp.  In case you were wondering the prime factorization of this is 3*41*3637.  Anybody else wants to ask for a consolation prize, complain, or compliment me on my beard - stop by and say hi on freenode IRC at #woodcoin.
