Title: is AMD Radeon HD 7730 2GB DDR5 enough to mine ETH?
Post by: bittraffic on December 20, 2016, 02:46:09 PM

I visited a friend lately and saw he has AMD Radeon HD 7730 2GB DDR5  and so i offered to buy it for $28. I was thinking of using this Graphic card to mine some coins including ETH. Has anyone used AMD Radeon HD 7730 2GB DDR5 too?

Which card can you recommend?
Knowing i can't mine bitcoin due to the large bitcoin miners, I'm seriously considering to mine different coins from ETH, XMR and the rest.
I need some guidance please.

i think the best is rx 470.good price.low power draw,good performance(near to rx 480)

a modded rx 470 may give hashrate up to 30 mhash which is pretty decent.

Thanks for the links. I wish I've seen them lately. I could have save my 28USD for it. Which script most of GPU miners use to mine coins?
I've heard of Claymore already, which is dual. it can mine ETH and other coins. i may also be using them.

If i have rx 470, should i consider just one coin so i can focus on it?

Keep in mind DAG is continually growing and eventually (very soon) 2GB wont be enough to mine. Claymore and other softwares require more than the DAG anyways so you'll need to switch to a new coin soon even if you did choose to mine ETH. On top of all that, the card isn't strong and it might do 12MH/S if you're lucky.

For now try ZCL or XMR, they'll be profitable for a while but ETH won't be for you very soon.

Also, please move this to the Altcoin Mining section. This has nothing to do with bitcoin mining.
