Title: How much Trump "bitcoin-friendly-team" affects price
Post by: pooya87 on December 22, 2016, 04:15:12 AM
I did a little research and found out that Trump's current Cabinet team is a very Bitcoin Friendly one. specially the "budget chief", Congressman Mick Mulvaney who has always been a pro-bitcoin person.

much more information here:
http://www.investopedia.com/news/why-trump-budget-chief-pick-good-bitcoin/
http://fortune.com/2016/12/07/donald-trump-bitcoin/

with these types of action and specially the news coverage, how much do you think bitcoin price will be affected today and in the future as they start working?

many are already speculating $2000+

Bitcoin to $2000 CNBC (http://www.cnbc.com/2016/12/07/bitcoin-price-could-rise-to-2000-in-2017-driven-by-trump-policies-us-dollar-inflation-rocketing.html)

Very cool that they are all Bitcoin friendly. Maybe some things can be accomplished in our space here.

Now, the problem here is that when your cnbc's and bloomberg's start writing articles about a bitcoin rally to the moon, that is often a bad sign that a top is coming because all the average joe's are reading it now and sending money to buy 5th waves.

So, bear? From here until whenever?

It's very optimistic, but I don't think it should be completely written off yet. There is still the potential for Mr. Trump and his cabinet to do absolutely nothing with Bitcoin, but speculating that things will go well is definitely welcome. It's not like they have anything that will really do that much, and they definitely won't hurt it during their time in office.

Must be his bitcoin-friendly team is buying bitcoin as crypt and that is why the price for bitcoin is growing as crazy?
I don't see other variants to their activity and this amazing grow of bitcoin.

Whereas it is nice to read these wild speculation, one has to keep his head calm. Step by step, there are several big hurdles on the way: with $1000 and ATH being just the two. Let's see what happens when the correction starts and how deep it will go.

i don't think it is optimistic at all now.
i would have agreed with you a while back when Trump was elected president and everybody was just hyping things because of some possibilities but right now those possibilities have become more of reality instead and it may actually lead to more rises and better days for bitcoin usage.

Bitcoin is independent of trump so I doubt if his impact is in a way going to affect bitcoins prices.

Donald Trump is too dumb to understand crypto-currency. His budget director is bitcoin fanboi but what can he do? Not much. His job is to prepare budgets according to Donald's whim which changes every second it seems. Don't get your hopes up too high on this one.

Don't know about $2000 but it looks like price gonna touch $1000 per coin really soon. So bitcoin price may remain well above $1000 throughout next year and it may also reach $2000 making it new all time high price. Politics may have some impact on price but i don't think the only cause for price surge right now is bitcoin-friendly team trump will have in his government.

America plays a large part in how bitcoin sustains value and they also produce a lot of the technology around the currency. However, countries like China and India, with their vast populations are more likely to be driving the price rise at the moment. India is switching around their physical currency notes at the moment and some people their might find it more convenient to hold funds in bitcoin. China is on an eternal drive to suppress freedom and people have a tendency to circumvent oppressive policies.

Yep I agree. I think Trump has little affect, although in general I would think Trump is bad news for Bitcoins. Just you wait until he finds out that Mexico is not building the wall as people are sending Bitcoins rather than $ home!

I think bitcoin price will be affected if they remove BitLicense and change it with something far better OR they decided to start WW3 ::)
Otherwise, i doubt what they do will affect bitcoin price at all.

not really because as far as i know Bitlicense is only in New York and it has been over a year since it was issued and those businesses that didn't like it left NewYork already and the rest have filed for getting it.
it wouldn't be removed ever because it is a license to use for your business and other places would soon issue a similar thing, but it may be changed for a better version though.
