Title: What happened to kwukduck's latest legendary prognostigative thread?
Post by: Foxpup on December 22, 2016, 11:31:03 AM
This one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1724444

While it's true that kwukduck's threads are difficult to distinguish from FUD, he's so often wrong that he's invaluable as a contrarian indicator. He's like the Nostradamus of Falsity. We need his unique insights. I don't know what we'll do without him. :-\

It's in the trashcan. I'm still waiting for someone to ban this guy for constantly trolling. It wouldn't surprise me if he was behind some of the bots predicting 'doomsday' in that section.

His threads should be kept alive just so we can laugh at how far off he is with his negative predictions.

It would surprise me. Kwukduck isn't a mindless troll; he's something else. Though I'm not entirely sure what.

That wouldn't be much of a issue if spammers were aware of the situation. Such threads get a lot of useless responses really quick.

Whoever is behind it, is most certainly not a mindless troll so jumping to conclusions isn't right. There were a few examples of deep 'infiltration' by NLC (in one case, he/she was actually reporting posts directly to me in an attempt to suppress potential suspicion).

While Kwuk's threads are typically very similar to the resident speculation forum spammer/bot, perhaps it's best to leave one active in order to collect the garbage?

Plus, it provides us a history of Kwuk's miserable failures which we can use to call him out when a future prediction is made. Not that he ever responds to actual discussion, he just doubles down on his drivel.

Part of me suspects that Kwuk is a parody (a less funny proudhon). I mean he chooses the most inappropriate times to forecast doom and gloom and he is less often correct than a broken clock.

He is valuable, he is one of the most famous members in the speculation board!
His epic fail predictions in almost 100% of times give you an idea when to buy or sale ;)
He might be involved in the spam in the speculation sub but I doubt for the rest (bitcoin = ponzi... It will fall blablabla...) since he used the same words as the bots sometimes
Personally I like his failure, just ignore him and let us laugh a little bit (till he didn't badly break the rules ofc).
Thx mods

It has never been confined to a singular thread. If you analyze their post history, you will see that a decent amount of threads were created through time (depending on the status of the previous ones).

It wouldn't be a problem if everyone reading that sub-board was actually experienced in these sort of things. This may cause effect on your un-educated and gullible reader though.
