I'm happy to spend my BTC to obtain quality products from good bitcoin retailers at the right price, though.
At $1,50/mBTC I may do some classic profit taking and buy fiat, but if and only if I actually need the fiat for whatever purpose. By then it might not be necessary, for airlines, accommodation and all kinds of other important stuff will be readily buyable directly with BTC. One can hope! These violent "noise corrections" are good for bitcoin, but DDoS attacks aren't so flash (no pun intended). Then again, what doesn't kill Bitcoin can only make it stronger, and the weaknesses are in the infrastructure, exchanges and marketplace and not, thankfully, with the Bitcoin protocol, which has shown itself to be pretty robust so far. How about the IP address you trade from is limited to one trade per hour or some other time limit dependent on the size of the trade?
