Title: XAPO Validation
Post by: ghilardi on December 23, 2016, 08:01:33 PM
Hello, I have an XAPO account, this week after I deposited 1 BTC the account was blocked.
I received a warning that I had to send my documents, I sent some emails to the support without any response.
Has anyone ever experienced this ?
It's normal ?
How long does it take to resolve and release my money?

Thank you,

First and foremost if you are new to bitcoin or new to that site, you have reserch first that site and you have to read their TOS first before sending any amount on that site, this site requires personal information and documents and valid IDs stating your real identity, just follow what they want, and message them here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=902526.0 but it seems xapo is not active here as what I saw in his profile. Once you're done uploading your documents there just wait the will confirmed it.

Thank you,
Lol. Both Xapo and Coinbase are renowned for freezing and blocking their customer's funds.

That is why it is recommended to read their T&C's before making an account.
If you'd made even a little bit of research  prior to using them, you'd have known this, and thus know what to avoid.  ???

Anyway, it'll all be sorted out in the end, just prepare yourself to wait weeks for a resolution.

I experienced this almost six months ago. I also had to send verifucation documents because they are obliged to verify all their users due to the anti money laundering policy. I've sent all they have requested and verification took about a week. Since now is holiday season it may take a bit longer.

However i didn't uploaded my identity in order to get my account back since only small amount in my account so it's not a big deal if my account is locked, well i just recommend you to contact them ( i heard that their costumer service has changed if i'm not wrong ) i just only knew this link https://support.xapo.com/

contact to their support system. Go to their website and click on support button or use the above person's link. they will contact you sooner. if they will accept your documents then you will get your account and if they will reject your documents then they will delete your account and will send your bitcoin to your address which you will provide to them after they ask for that.

Thank you,
-You sure the btc you had was not from gambling/scams/stolen ?
-Stop using a Xapo wallet. They're giving a bad name to bitcoin.
-Don't submit any documents, you have control over your wallet, they don't!
