Yes, isn't. What the hell the about number 4 of the http://coinmarketcap.com/ is dead? But did it the caused by the SegWit hype? totally seems like it's going outside from my speculation.
So who will be earning a lot of the profit from buy in 0.004?  :D Totally promising today. LTC still have their future.

I see a huge amount buying and the price is rising now.
I also keep some ltcs for next year. Hope it will be up high the same as btc price

I hold this coin for 6 months .I hope this will help me to get 50% profit from holding coins

dead? certainly not. and i have been saying it forever, even when price was low and going down. i always keep saying even if this coin had nothing to offer as far as development goes there are Chinese that will pump it without hesitation. and when they do, they pump it hard.

also i was kinda expecting this rise because history has shown that litecoin had always moved up with bitcoin price but always with a delay. and i believe this is start of more pumps to come to match bitcoin's rise.

It's not 'dead', just stagnating both in terms of development and in 'adoption' whatever that means nowadays.  The sudden surge in price is obviously a pump and it can't be sustained for a long time by the people who did it, assuming the pump doesn't get, for lack of a better word, 'viral'.

Litecoin once moved in tandem with Bitcoin, at a price of 0.01 BTC. That peg was broken and Litecoin was in the dumps ever since. In spite of the sharp rise over the past few days, Litecoin has still not reached 0.005 BTC. So I would say that there is still some way to go.

I don't know, personally I'm pretty skeptical that Litecoin will continue to rise.
It's great that we have some news of development and the price is trading up on the exchanges, but what are you really doing with LTC besides speculation?

Litecoin was never dead in the first place. It was some lame users who were trying to spread fear and rumours. I think it is those Chinese users who missed out on bitcoin rally, is now getting into litecoin and pumping it up. Anyways, finally all litecoin holders have something to be happy about!

Price can't stay at 0.005 BTC and above. The price was quickly pushed down by sellers and Litecoin dropped 5% in a day. Bottoming is a process and it will take some time before one can call Litecoin a bottom at 0.004 BTC.

what i think is that litecoin is not really going anywhere, it has not much of development and nothing much to offer since it is copy of bitcoin.
but the fact remains that in this market these things are not determining the price but the demand and pumps make it, and litecoin has always been in the list of coins which Chinese are pumping a lot.

Litecoin is not dead.But I can not see that coin mooning again.
It will gain some percent pricewise and then it will lose that again!
The greatest time of that coin is over.So be careful when investing here!

i assume you buying at 0.006 btc or above if you were holding this coin over than 6 months unfortunately currently the price has dropped 0.005 btc below but volume support still high for LTC and maybe there will be huge pump at 2017 but i personally don't dare to holding this coin for long term because i'm not sure the price will back again to 0.02 btc just like several years ago

SegWit already bring a fresh news for the coin and what next? We need the other good news to give an another green candle for the litecoin. But the SegWit hype will be coming again soon.

Litecoin is far from dead. but is for sure not second coin anymore as it was only 2-3 years ago.  It wil also not die in next 2-3 years. But in taht period of time wil for sure lose few more positions.

Litecoin is a good coin imo but undervalued at this time, it need some good marketing to attract investors to this.A shortime hype won't help it but it need a long time growth to stay alive.If you look at previous trading you will see that after each hype its value dropped back to lower then it was before hype.I believe it will shine again with bitcoins pump as we have seen at previous bitcoin halving.

Where are those people who keep saying that LTC is already dead?For sure they eat up those words that they said earlier because we could able to witness the price increase of LTC and those persons who believe on it does really gain good profits because 25% increase is already considered good.I don't know if this movement or trend would continue on this coin and im hoping it will continue its trend.

Yes I agree with you, Still waiting for the moment of ltc. ZEC still being the best teacher about how the short hype won't be helping.
But all of it still depend on with the dev. I think the dropping phase on altcoin is normally. I more prefer about a little growth than a big growth in short hype.

Litecoin is not dead yet. Its still at the top altcoin in the market. Its still pumping, why saying that litecoin is dead already? Its stronger than any other altcoins in the market. I think it has a potential to be the next bitcoin. We will see that after 3-5 years.

Litecoin has good reputation in the past but always securing it's position to retain in this crypto industry. Many people are keep trading litecoin and there are many bag holders who are holding litecoin for their future price. But definitely this coin will have more secure feature which will raise it's price for many more years for sure.

Just as expected that this coin will make its move since its being included on the top 5 on coinmarketcap which means it wont easily die and LTC is already 5-6 years as far as i know and still kicking even it is not too active and the devs are not too active on marketing this coin but this really have the potential on long run.

So it's true,last week people are advising to buy litecoin because of the coming pump and yes it's now happening I read somewhere that they even launch and offer a bounty to create a logo for litecoin foundation,things are looking for litecoin right now.

They got burned right now, Some were losing his money. That's short hype and anyone are over with LTC short hype.

Lite coin foundation wasn't offering it. Just the personal interest.

Litecoin seems to be gathering momentum recently even with the BTC rise today the price increase steadily with BTC, it is good is coming back to life

Litecoin will rise up 50% in the year of 2017 if bitcoin reaches at 1,250$.
when bitcoin is on the way up many people will choose it for online payment instead .
Bitcoin Holders will keep bitcoin as Gold for storage .

it was never dead to come back to life. a dead coin has its value dropped but if you look at the price history Litecoin has been in the $3 range for a very long time with little fluctuations.

and also it will continue rising, because so far each time bitcoin rises, litecoin follows in its footsteps with a short timeframe window.

Probably pamp already played, now Litecoin does not go up with Bitcoin.

China loves ltc, will not die

SegWit and Lightning Network make great chance for Litecoin to grow up in price by several times.

It's never dead. it still continue to be alive and it will hit at least 5$ in this year.  If bitcoin is banned in china , Litecoin will be chosen as bitcoin instead for the chinese people. This is a good chance to buy litecoin with cheap price.

That is really a bad luck,litecoin was stable for a long time and i am certain that the coin is undervalued because there are several coins in the market which are easier to mine than the litecoin and may be so is the reason people are not showing much interest in it at the moment and with time it will show its true potential and rise to a good value in the coming years,it happened to me too when i shifted to another coin just to trade suddenly there is movement in the coin which is really not good of a scene to watch when you have nothing when the price increases.I have to learn to figure out the timing first.

I doubt it. Those two things will not do much for LTC. It needs adoption like bitcoin has adoption. Maybe in 5 years.. But not this year. People are too interested in their smart contracts and ICO coinz.

That rise was followed by a quick dump. Exactly what I thought was going to happen.

I honestly didnt expect the pump to last long. I do, however, have faith in Litecoin and this up/down means little to me. Im steadily buying and mining away.

Don't hold or mine LTC for the chance of it pumping some time in the future. It has not pumped for nearly 2 years and it never will.

Think about the OPPORTUNITY COST of holding a failed cryptocurrency like Litecoin. You could have made a ton more money with Monero, Ethereum or any of the other coins that are actually original and have active speculators.

Nobody is interested in Litecoins and that's why it will never pump. Sold my stash off during this last "rise" (pathetic 25% rise after 1.5 years which didn't even hold for 24 hours; but enough time for me to unload my shitcoins on noobs and bagholders).

I've taken another look at Litecoin since coinbase started trading them on gdax.com. I think that will send it to a broader market, thus increasing the price.

LTC is poised to take off. There are 1 or 2 coins I have more faith in, but LTC is in the top ten at least for me. I think it is undervalued compared to BTC.

I hope LTC takes off in 2017 because I earn about 1.5Ltc a day right now. I try to save most of that too.

Why it needs the adoption of bitcoin? Wake up dude, about the current block result has told us if the Bitcoin SegWit will be failing. It will not encourage 95% of signalling.

You misunderstood... he's saying that LTC - or any other cryptocurrency for that matter - relies almost chiefly on adoption for it to be successful, for it to be in demand, for it to be valued. He means that if LTC could get the adoption that BTC has, it would almost certainly be able to boost its long-term price.

This means more merchants, more casinos, more public persons accepting and paying in LTC.

LTC is an interesting one. I don't own any, nor am I planning on acquiring any, but it wouldn't surprise me if it just randomly took off one day.

There is no real reason for it to take off. It used to more or less mirror Bitcoin previously, but has lost most of its value in the last 6 months. If it does take off, you can bet your bottom dollar that it will be a pump and dump.  :)

Litcoin is just not interesting at the moment, but this is right moment for investing. It's too late to jump in when walls of BTCs appears on exchanges. I realy don't understand  and why people still talking negative about LTC, when all evidence are in contrary. No premine, no hidden blocks, istamine or anything similar. Hashrate rising, secure network, has nice volume of trade on every excange.
