Ok, to begin with, CGMiner requires Zadig to connect via USB, if I recall correctly.  You can get Zadig at http://zadig.akeo.ie/ (http://zadig.akeo.ie/).  IF you use BFGMiner, you do not need Zadig.  I use BFGMiner for my Gridseed.  If your Gridseed is this one https://www.amazon.com/Gridseed-Blade-Scrypt-Asic-5-5MHs/dp/B00KYG2NHI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1482654204&sr=8-1&keywords=gridseed+blade (https://www.amazon.com/Gridseed-Blade-Scrypt-Asic-5-5MHs/dp/B00KYG2NHI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1482654204&sr=8-1&keywords=gridseed+blade), the command below should work (it does on mine).  One thing to remember, if using notepad or similar to make a batch file, make sure word wrap is off.  Everything but pause should be on one line.  Also remember to use your worker name and password for Multipool.

bfgminer --scrypt -S gridseed:all --set-device gridseed:clock=825 -o stratum+tcp://us-east.multipool.us:7777/#skipcbcheck -u (Replace with your worker username for Multipool) -p (Replace with your worker password for Multipool) -o stratum+tcp://us-west.multipool.us:7777/#skipcbcheck -u (Replace with your worker username for Multipool) -p (Replace with your worker password for Multipool)
pause

Look at "SETTING UP USB DEVICES" at the official GitHub page for CGMiner located at https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer (https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer) regarding USB connections requiring Zadig.  It's about half way down the page.  Also, according to https://litecoin.info/Mining_software (https://litecoin.info/Mining_software) CGMiner 3.7.2 is the last version to support GPU/scrypt mining.  Newer versions are unable to use your Gridseed at all.

I would use BFG if i was you it works better and is a lot easier to set up and try this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=596620.0 and spend like maybe 40 bucks for a Raspberry PI kit and you have a controller that will run it all or all most any thing  for a while and use a lot less power then a windows box.

for BFG you may need these drivers for windows not all ways but you may .
http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx

 CGMiner Drivers
http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/zadig/

Try not to mix those drivers on a windows box it might brick the windows install and you have to reinstall windows .

Don't try CGMINER 4.10, it won't work because cgminer no longer supports Script miners and hasn't for a year or two that's about how old the CGMINER 3.7.2  is, while BFG https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=877081.0 always has and still does.

CGMINER 4.10 is what you get now if you compile you own software miners, if you see it only posted at 3.9.2

i try to use BFG but it cant recognize my gridseed blades. so, i return to CGminer 3.7.2

i try to nicehash, multipool and slushpool so far. when i write bat files, i use parameters which on their sites. so far no luck:/

some times gave me error about pool adress or username/password. i dont know why... but mostly "stratum from pool 0 request work restart" information keep coming.

What version of Windows are you using?  I have v8.1 Pro, and my Gridseed blade is running just fine with the command I gave you.  I didn't need to install any drivers (though it may have downloaded some).  The other thing you can try is to use MultiMiner located at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=248173.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=248173.0).  It uses BFGMiner, but does all the locating of miners, and configuring BFGMiner automatically.  I had good luck with it when I've run into troubles getting something to work.

Out of curiosity, how are you running CGMiner?

hi,

i placed a folder on desktop. every file on cgminer is in that file.
i do not execute bat files as a "administrator", because it never run if i choose administrator.

i dont understand your question completly but i hope this will the answer what you are looking.

thank you for your answers:)

if you have adequate cooling, gridseed chips can generally operate between 950-1050Mhz stable....   I typically got 1.5-2Mh off of 4 orbs.... (20 chips)

USe the zadig driver to update the driver per-device and try again.

If you have a Raspberry Pi, Id suggest downloading the Minera RaPi image.    It's pre-configured, and easy to set up.

I use the manual string as posted above, and use the regular cpuminer version that comes pre-compiled with the image.  Works with every gridseed device I have ever plugged into it.  It also was able to control my U3's when I had them.

Use minera https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=596620.0 not Scripta , Scripta is really out date and hasn't had any updates for a longtime .minera and Scripta are all most the same, minera is better because Mich keeps it going and has a new beta version that only monitors right now or id say use the beta .

Yes, minerA is waaaay better from my tests in the past.

Once you get the proper miner config set up its stable and self-sufficient.

yeah thaht's miner only for testing. you can mine 8 euro of litecoin in one month if always on

have you linked it to a raspberry o to a pc? if you run it into a pc don'forget to update drivers before conneccting it elsewhere it can ruin.

if you have raspberry download minera latest build it has the last miner for it

if yu had this low hasrate you should do like they said try it................ i had 5,2 mh with one of this gridseed but it's no anymore profitable in 2017

or try settings then local miner there is a list with a drop down with four different software miners to the right you can try either cgminer dmaxl Zeus or BFG Miner the CGMNIER listed won't work that's the master version of CGminer or most up date version that had script miners removed after 4.7.2 ,it's maybe at 4.9.2 or 4.1.0 which has no Script support, SO it won't work but BFG or cgminer dmaxl Zeus will then under either of those is a Per configured list click it should being up a drop down with a list that usually works out the box . make sure to read the list to see what miner fits what settings, it should put you on the miner even if you Picked BFG lets say if the settings match anther miner it will pick that miner. hope this helps .

I never had much luck using CPUMINER you have picked in the Screen shot you posted .

one others thing in case  BFG or cgminer dmaxl Zeus are not installed which happens some times even with the per made image  .

you may need putty so you can log into your PI form a windows PC if so download it here : https://winscp.net/eng/download.php#putty to find out what the IP is for the PI use this http://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/

The USER and PASSWORD to login on the PI is minera for both, then use this command below, it should list all the miners Minera can download for use .

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
./build_miner.sh

Quote
Miner Names:
  cgminer           cgminer official
  cpuminer          cpuminer GC3355 fork
  bfgminer          bfgminer official
cgminer-dmaxl     cgminer dmaxl fork (gridseed and zeus support)
  all               build all the above

then to up date or install one of them or all use :

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
./build_miner.sh bfgminer
or
Code:
cd /var/www/minera
./build_miner.sh cgminer-dmaxl

if you use ALL it can take a while

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
./build_miner.sh all

thanks top .

for the gridseed blades don't use bfgminer or the zeus build.   Use the cpuminer that I mentioned above.   There should be a preconfigured GC3355 setting for the gridseeds, and it will populate the text field below the select box with the gridseed options.  Then choose to manually set it, copy/paste the data and input your own freq if you wish.

I never got the two other versions of the miners to work on minera.    The stable and reliable one was the regular cpuminer.  It has the GC3355 support.   Im pretty sure it was cpuminer.    I would need to find my SD with the RPI image n it to load it up to double check.

*edit*

If you can open up an external port and provide an IP to your location, I can log into your minera/RPI and configure it for you and try and get it mining remotely.

Code:
stratum+tcp://eu.multipool.us:3333

That's the why the wrong pool or more port setting use 3334, I don't see  them using a 3333 port setting looking at there stratum ports ..

you want
Code:
stratum+tcp://eu.multipool.us:3334
for LTC .

and I would use whatever miner works best for you in minera i have found BFG does for me so i use it and out of the four miners in minera do not use CGMINER it does not work with Script miners any more unless you use one of the forked version at 4.7.2 or lower that supports grindseed so i would BFG miner or cgminer-dmax or cpuminer all three work with grind seeds all three have presets that do work, i never liked or had to much luck with CPU miner i still have a GBlack 25 MH blade Grind seed i use from time to time with BFG set at
Code:
--scrypt -S gsd:all --set gsd:clock=800
not the
Code:
825
default minera sets,
Code:
800
works best for me and keeps it at a steady 22 MH my miner has one bad blade i wtfed up by mistake or it would run at 25 to 27 MH and on Ebay it's like 100 bucks for a full blade which is not worth it to me to get that extra 5 mh back.

what coin are you tiring to mine ? on multipool .

its looks like your nicehash connection is working right .

just wait they will its look ok now and watch your account balance on multipool it may take 30 to 60 mins to show something.

check this pool out you can solo mine with old miners for all most any Script coin you want to and get paid while you solo mine Plus if you hit a block you get it - some small fees i do apply i do  mean small .

https://prohashing.com/

I have been paid for any blocks i found for whatever coins it was i was mining at the time i found, plus i all ways got coins solo mining even If i didn't hit a block, if that pool can, so can other pools but they won't for whatever reason mainly greed, if you solo mine, if it sounds to good to be true, i would say go try it to see, it does work the Pool Dev are honest or have been so far. I don't know them personally and only recommended them because it impressed me that much.

it only works  with Script miners like Zeus, grind seed, INNOSILICON a2 a4, antminers new L3, going on sell by the 20 th of this month every were, no btc miner or GPU's work on that pool.

thanks top .

I answered your email )

Also, in looking here, it looks like you got cgminer to see the miner (good news!) and that it is trying to work, but no shares is a big issue.... The port # could very well be the issue;

Maybe try these settings for the short term just to be on the same page as me and make sure that we are using the proper settings since I do not know your pool:

scrypt.mine.zpool.ca:3433

Username: <A BTC WALLET ADDRESS>
Password: c=BTC,scrypt,stats

your miner can be viewed on the website as well as live earnings estimates (dont expect alot with scrypt):
zpool.ca/?address=<A BTC WALLET ADDRESS>

It seems (as from the screenshot) that your miner is not getting correct shares from the server and is never actually processing anything... only cgminer is getting workunits (of what type?).

But Ill digress since I just looked up multipool.us.  They are using a different port number.    I am willing to bet some BTC that changing the port number to their suggestion on their homepage will fix everything.

Looks like your miner is trying to get SHA256 workunits.

Port 3333 is a SHA256 port....

I normally don't configure via the json file.

Can you check my post above;  you can just enter any BTC or supported altcoin address in place of my notes, and see if it will mine to that address and port.   Through the webpage wallet link I also provided, you can see your miner connections/hashrate generated at the pool.  let it run for 15-20 min and report back... it should work fine.   The Pi/minera is seeing your gridseed devices, it looks like you are simply connecting to the wrong port? (i recommend BTC as you dont have to wait for the pool to mine enough of your payout coin to get paid)
